Problem Details: Two days ago I opened up osu! like usual but I saw that I was back to the login screen, but I didn't think much about it. Then when I logged in again and clicked "Play," all my beatmaps were reprocessed. At first I didn't notice any differences besides settings getting reset, but I realized that a significant number of replays from recent plays were gone. Some didn't even have score registered or some had a score detail but no replay file. I noticed that when I tried to repair osu! to reprocess the maps, it said in the bottom "Unable to read replay file." I tried doing the delete score.db with big number thing but that file didn't exist in my osu! folder. I looked at the hidden Data folder and saw replays but I couldn't tell if some of those replays were the ones that got lost or unreadable. If someone could help me out that would be great because this basically happened not long after I got my newest high score and I didn't get the chance to save/record it :(

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

osu! version: 20160227.3 (latest)

Hi! Thanks for the reply! When I change the file path within the code, is the destination the osu! folder or is it something within the osu! folder? I tried your instructions along with removing the scores.db file beforehand just like the person in that forum did but it didn't seem to work out for me. So I'm pretty sure I might have messed up something in the process because the person in that forum had the exact same problem as me.

It also says when I do it that osu! can't read the file or something like that when the game ends up opening. :/

Check your permissions. Are you running osu! as admin?

No, but I'll try it out. I also forgot to say that when i open the .bat file, windows says that there is no program associated with the command or something like that before everything opens.

Might be that the replay files arent associated with osu!. Make sure osu! is the defualt program to open thise files.

Where would I go to confirm that? I'm not really sure.

Ok so I have all 3 of those criteria met. When I change the file path in the code, do I make it end at osu! or a folder within osu! ?

Also, what's an .osg file? This time when I opened the .bat file Windows asked me which app to open the .osg files so I naturally chose osu! but that didn't work out. The osu! client told me that it couldn't read the .osg files.

Folder within osu!

IDK what's .osg either. I think you are giving it the wrong folder

Hi! Which folder am I supposed to select within the osu! folder?

I'm not sure where the .osg files came from... In the osu!/Data/r folder, there were two types of files associated with each replay (one being .osr and the other being something else that I don't remember but then after doing my latest attempt, they turned into .osg files and windows asked me to assign an app to them.

I just find it frustrating that random replays just disappear even now. Thanks for all the help so far!

The one in the screenshot is the correct folder. Uhhh... I dont remem how the script dealt with the other files. I wrote it in such way it opens the files one by one, so I am assuming *.osg files were not a thing back then. Try copying the folder, sort by file type in the copied folder and delete all of the non .osr files. Apply the script to the copied folder and see if that works.

From https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/Replay/

`.osg` (accuracy and combo in real-time; used for spectators' replay only)
...
Deleting the `.osg` file has no effect (it is a leftover file for spectator's replay; can be safely removed).
