I just realized that a certain map uses 4 normal-sliderticks and 3 soft-sliderticks.
Therefore, it would require at least 4 custom overrides, something that does not currently exist.
My question then is when will we see more custom overrides?

Even better, will there be a change in the hitsound system that would allow a mapper to individually assign hitsounds to any object be it hitcircles or sliderticks?
1 of the 3 soft-sliderticks is the same as another but with a sound added on.
Therefore, the above system would be more efficient than creating 3 overrides with little differences between each.

TL;DR: When will we see a change in the hitsound system?

Shouldn't this type of threads be in the Feature Requests forum...

Planned, moved.

Also I wasn't aware that OTD used more than 4 ticksounds. Two boops, regular ticks, and jingles?
Edit: Got it. They stacked another sound on the tick there.

peppy's plan is to add arbitrarily many named overrides, eg. cheese-hitnormal.wav. In addition to this, I was thinking of giving whistles their own tick sound.
