  1. Some hitsounds had delay so take this http://puu.sh/owM3u/652d1c840f.rar.
  2. 00:22:530 - In this part I think it should have more than simple custom hit. Even a simple basic whistle would be nice on beat like 00:28:016 - to emphasis more the violin here. Think about it, it really have a lack of hs for me.
  3. 01:38:622 (2,1) - Stack plz
  4. 03:15:994 (4) - Would be lovely if you just to the same shape than 03:15:651 (3) - http://puu.sh/owMQD/99a4dfdddb.jpg
  5. On 2nd kiai, it would be really appreciated if you could reduce spacing the double (04:33:565 (2,3) - and others), this part is already quite stressful, and I don't think a double with that spacing will help. Around 0.40x is perfect, and would be coherent with this kind of pattern 04:32:708 (3,4) - .
  6. 05:37:422 (3,4) - That's a quite huuuuge spacing right here. Other for similar hitsound are not that important on this section.

Among the different "waterdrop sound" , that one introduce us the "epic" part with violin which starts at 00:21:502 - ! I'd rather keep it for that reason!

TO THE NEXT BN : I let metadata like this because we can't confirm clearly if the original name of the song was "Timberwolf" or "Timberwolf (Original Mix)" even if more tend to think it's more without. Both should probably be acceptable but I prefer have a double check thx~

The map is good enough but popping the bubble for an issue which is not acceptable for rank:
soft-hitfinish.wav have only 29.59 ms lenght which is below 100 ms lenght as it is written in Raking Criteria:

Edit: Just checked the metadata.It is written as Muzzy - Timberwolf as it is on this page :arrow:https://soundcloud.com/monstercat/timberwolf?in=monstercat/sets/muzzy-the-takeover-ep but I am not really sure if it's with Original Mix or without it.Maybe you have to remove it since mostly of pages have the title without Original Mix in my point of view.

Nozhomi's new hs has been fixed.

About the metadata , Youtube and Soundcloud sources doesn't reveal the "Original Mix" tag but I've found it on an official website where you can buy the song as an official release.

Okay so let's sum this up very quickly!

After spending days and night to rank that map , I feel like to say that this is clearly almost impossible to get a 3rd bn on this map.
The reason ? Every BNs have been busy these days.
Some would say "just wait some days/a week dood" "chill m8"

I'm preparing myself for my finals who will take place in june and I wanted to rank that map before finishin'/rankin' anything before June (unless we have mbc results o: )
The fact is that I've been polishing the map since 4 months and I've been collabing with Liiraye who did an awesome job and I didn't want him to think "damn i wasted time xd"



I'll leave that map here with two bubbles , waiting for an eventual result from bns if they are free someday!

Edit: Well actually it's all pretty minor no real reason to pop the bubble but I would suggest 00:00:588 (1,2,1) - instead of using the low pitch keysounds you should raise it up one octave because right now its too low to match the music. For example 02:28:680 (1,2,3) - match the pitch and octave. Basically here. I hope they're named correctly otherwise feel free to correct. Same sound but one octave higher :v

Also 03:03:480 (3,4) - That second keysound is unnecessary per the music only 03:02:965 (1) - plays and echoes on so I'd consider removing those from this section.

EDIT3: OKAY after testplaying and checking on those changes I'd say it's best to just leave it as is LOL. The keysounds sound a bit laggy in the intro compared to how they sound in the song. Also in the later section they blend too well with the keysounds and since they have no tactile feedback (i.e. the default soft-hitnormal or the custom hitnormal) it might cause more issues than fix. As for the second point I suppose it's minor since it's expected although not in the music it could be implied so all in all, these points could be dismissed xd

I understand your concern but please don't call this a waste of time. No mod should be considered that. The hitsounds are overall really well-done (no surprise) but much like the map, I think the hitsounds should be almost perfect! The changes are really minor and can be done under an hour and worst case scenario the map's not going anywhere and neither are the bubbles. Just discuss it with the 3rd BN it shouldn't cause any issues. Or ask nerova to do it while you're busy again it's pretty much just changing three.wavs and deleting a few green sections and thats it.

EDIT: also btw make sure to fix NRG's tags LOL (its nerova riuz gx btw) avoid unnecessary dq's

  1. 00:43:788 (7,1,2) - This spacing is rather confusing for me. I would place 1 further up the screen so its more clear 7>1 is 1/1 and 1>2 is 1/2.
  2. 02:29:365 - Not going to map this?
  3. 05:29:537 (1) - I don't relaly like how you use this slider lol. It's too early imo. The track is still really upbeat and fast when this slider plays, but its a slow slider, so it just feels kinda awkward for me. What you do for 05:32:794 (1) - is a lot better because the track has died down.
The name strobing in Kiai is a possible epilepsy trigger. Anything that pulses under 1 second intervals can be considered a trigger so it's best to enable epilepsy warning. Yea, it's really small but there's nothing to lose in having it enabled imo...

This is a great map with insanely well-made hitsounding, but the hitsounds actually turned out to be a little problem here.

We have this drum-hitnormal21.wav which is used once at 04:49:765 -
It has an inaudible beginning and it fades in:


Ranking Criteria says this:
Hitsounds must have an acceptable range of delay under 5ms, unless there's a special purpose. Every hitsound file should start in time, preferrably at 0ms. This is to ensure that every map doesn't sound mistimed, and therefore could provide acceptably synchronized rhythm feedback to players.
Indeed it can be called a special purpose, but actually the problem in this particular hitobject is that it doesn't have any other sound except the fade-in thing. You replaced the hitnormal with this sound, which makes this clickable slider start absolutely inaudible. It would be perfectly fine if you had an audible hitnormal and the fade-in sound was an addition to it.

The same thing happened to 03:22:680 - (normal-hitnormal33.wav)


The other problem, which directly refers to the aforementioned RC rule is soft-hitfinish.wav. It has a close-to-silent delay of around 15ms, which is unrankable. You should edit this file and cut the beginning.

I agree with these two. They are inaudible at the beginning, and if these are the problem that cause dq, I will be totally fine with that.
in the next update I'll fix these things.

let me put a picture here first:

There are two samples, the first one is the original soft-hitfinish.wav, and the second one is the one which got cut at the beginning.

you can see that they have a huge difference between them, but it's also quite strange because:
They are not totally the same thing because you just cut the echoes.
obviously everyone knows the hitsound is working like a clock sound, but if you cut the beginning, it will sound like just a plain geek hihat.
so anyway, you can't say that should be cut because "the part is barely audible". It has its own functional purpose.

Saying "something is okay because it was ranked previously" is not right, rules change, mistakes are being done, we should only consider current rules and issues.

You are totally right about the second one, the sound is very much different. soft-hitfinish.wav should not be modified.
Even if you delete the second half, you'll hear the majority of the sound, so it's basically starting not 15ms later, it's starting from the very beginning, it's just that the wav file for some reason looks weird.

Still the first points about the fade-in sounds remain valid, so we can fix it and soon requalify this!
