I find menu backgrounds to be very cool but I honestly don't see any reason for it to be for supporters only.
It's pretty fun to customize your osu menu bg without having to spend for a month's worth of supporter tag, I know that's not the reason buying a tag but since I like it so much it has become one of my reasons to get one.
I'm not saying I dislike buying one though, I'd love to support osu in any way I can, I just want the backgrounds to be a non-supporter thing.
