Peppy should make a karaoke game. It would be way better than Ultrastar. He could incorporate it into Osu optionally, but have a completely separate karaoke mode. Although trying to sing and play osu at the same time would be pretty funny.

I don't see what it would offer that the other simulators don't. We never had a (good) Ouendan/Taiko simulator before osu!, but Ultrastar is a good karaoke game. :/
peppy should make a Super Smash Bros styled fighting game with MUGEN's extensibility to allow the addition of more user-created characters and stages

Does a music notation game exist for the PC, similar to what you get on 'Dr Kawashima's More Brain Training'?
If not, then I think someone should create the game (not me though, I'm not a programmer) and we could use the qwerty keys or a MIDI keyboard to play the tunes. Obviously the PC version would be a lot more sophisticated than the DS version (shown above) and include synth sounds, drums, real instruments, etc. To describe how it would work, I guess it would be similar to Daigasso! Band Brothers that's on the DS, where you can choose different parts/instruments for each song, but the game would use music notation instead.

I tried making a console-driven digital keyboard but stopped when I couldn't get it to detect whether a key was being held down or not (you had to press enter after each note)

Not sure if synthesia was note driven, or if it even is being developed any more. I think it was some frets on fire like thing but for pianos.

Where do you get good songs for Ultrastar?
I'm afraid that's a good question. The community is unorganized and full of fail. <.<

Yeah. Every user-created song is unplayable due to obvious timing errors. At least I found some Singstar rips which work great.
Also, I don't really like singing games. I feel like I'm a decent singer when I get a good score, but when I listen to a recording, I *Ganon*. ;.;

there should be a singing game where the game extracts the vocal section of it by some audio technology thing, then analyzes the pitch of all of the vocals and sets it to a chart, so that every song with vocals could be played except it wouldn't show you lyrics
