Hello, I have a bone to pick with current difficulty calculating system.
I think difficulty calculation has huge underestimation of sliders. these are completely ignored of star difficulty.
for example, M2U feat. Guriri - Magnolia [AngelHoney's ExtrA] [Insane] and Gentle Stick X M2U - Hades in the Heaven [ExtrA] [K i A i's Insane] include many slider jumps 1/2, 3/8 ,1/4 which make this map harder and fun, but this difficult placing does not fairly increase the star difficulty. you can find this by using circles as a substitute for the sliders in Edit. This altering makes the map easy, but the star difficulty does not change at all. That is dreadfully unfair.
Star difficulty is directly connected to PP system. Nowadays, many of the osu! player seek and play map for increase their PP. I know PP system is great index of the playing ability, but star difficulty is not proportionally corresponding to "acutual difficulty". Even though no one can judge the perfect "acutual difficulty" objectively, there is obvious difficulty gap of that slider jumps and circle jumps which counted as the same of star difficulty.
I'm so fearful of the possibility that slider jumps maps may be shunned by many players for it's underated star difficulty despite its very fun to play. I want to people more to be attracted to beatmaps like I mentioned. I love so much high-vilocity sliders, 3/8 sliders which has great distance each other, kick sliders. Please calculate properly the sliders' star even if it is a little bit.
