idk, the song is no an actual tohou arrange since it is only the intro, so I'll keep it like that for now. seemd fine for the last one I mapped where I checked with some people. I'll definitely look into it again once hte map is actually ready for ranking/color]

    those are like the core of this, lol. I already stacked them so even people that have problems with the bpm can kinda mash them, lol. there is an insane for people that cant handly those after all

    00:13:803 (1) - After this object you see its something really different so i would recommend you to put this stream after this object to another way so we can tell its something else(emphasising more just) Well you might not understand what i meant so what i did for example you can probably make something better is ctrl + j and ctrl+h and ctrl+g rotation a little. So it goes somewhere else instead of you repetitive triangle stream to emphasis.

    00:43:803 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - Too dangerous, hard to read mb keep then just in simple flow but you can still use a distance on 4 and 1 to emphasis yep but let them follow each other tho.



For Hard :

  1. 00:03:256 (4,5,6) - I think a sharper angle here would improve flow (like how you did 00:01:381 (4,5,6) - )
  2. 00:29:037 (3,4) - move this to [240, 192] so 00:28:920 (2,3) and 00:29:154 (4,1) have equal spacing (if anything, (4,1) should have larger spacing because of slider leniency)
  3. 00:30:209 (1) - this slider is much harder to follow since its smooth and very curved, compared to your other sliders that are either straight are scrunched. I'd recommend changing the shape
  4. 00:42:631 (1,2,3,4,1) - I don't think these 1/8's fit the song here. You've been using 1/8s to emphasize strong beats, but this one feels pretty weak in comparison. I think making these last couple seconds all jumpy would be better.
[Insane]
  1. 00:01:615 (5) - this is a stronger beat than (4) or (6), so (4,5) should have a larger spacing than (5,6) imo. The other option is to keep all the spacings exactly the same.
  2. 00:03:490 (5) - same thing
  3. 00:16:381 (4,5,6,7) - I'm not a fan of this rhythm, but if you insist on using it, move 00:16:615 (6,7) - to [168,334] for better flow

  1. I think you should add Touhou to the tags, I'm aware this track is not an arrangement but the full album is related to it, and as an intro the track becomes related as well. You could also add the catalog number if you want ("HLZY-0022"), some people use it xd

  1. 00:19:896 (2,4) - you could make these have the same shape, the pattern almost looks symmetrical but the sliders ruin that look
  2. 00:44:271 (5,6) - flow here doesn't feel right, move 6 a bit more to the right
  3. You have some useless green timing points in this diff, naming 00:15:560 - and 00:45:736 - , the second one isn't completely useless but you only lower the volume by 10% for less than half a second, so it would be better to just delete it imo, the one at 00:46:146 - will do the job just fine
[Normal]
  1. 00:05:834 (4) - I know what you're following here, but this slider still makes it really confusing for this diff, as you don't want to remove it what about adding a note on 00:06:068 - , instead of the slider end? As the highlighted part changes, the player will at least click and realize it changed
  2. 00:15:560 - timing point is not needed
  3. 00:44:740 (3) - would look and flow better if it was around x:112 y:240, then you'd have to adjust 00:45:209 (4,1) -
  4. This is just a little note, the calmer part from 00:23:178 - until 00:30:678 - when the hi-hat stops should be mapped differently from the other parts because it expresses a weaker sound, so imo you could have used a slider like 00:25:990 (4) - throughout the whole section (on the fitting parts ofc) instead of using a heavier pattern like 00:27:865 (4,5,6) - . I'd exclude 00:29:740 (4,5,6) - because it follows the vocals. This is just my opinion though, map's fine ^^

It is consistent with before, increased spacing every 4 notes/nc, would be wierd to not jave it like that imo

General
  1. Nothing really major to point out.

Rain
Opening thoughts: This plays really well to me. It's both challenging and follows a nice rhythm in relation to the song. Great job. c:
  1. 00:29:506 (6) - the dash to this is pretty harsh and requires very strict timing, i would reduce the dash to this after the hyper to be more forgiving. It feels like an Overdose pattern the way it is right now.
  2. 00:37:592 (5,6,7) - I feel like this hyper chain is a bit much for this Rain. I would recommend only have a hyper on the last 2 notes of this chain. I feel it would work better for a Rain.
  3. 00:43:803 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This section, although crazy good and fun, seems a bit too much. I think it may help if you lighten the distance between the notes in each set of 4 so it's easier to keep flow and catch them.
Song Setup Recommendations: none really
Closing Thoughts: This rain is very well done in my opinion. I think some parts are a bit too challenging but still a very good rain nonetheless.

Let it be known that I am not modding the Imagination diff as I feel I am not of the proper skill level to mod it, but I will say that around 00:38:881 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - I think the spacing should be reduced a bit so that pattern flows a bit better. I already mentioned this to MB already tho. c:

00:09:115 - it would probably be best to stick to a faster/smoother moving 1/1 rhythm instead of the long slider which sounds a bit strange imo. the rest of the map doesn't even have a 1/2 beat mapped. suggested rhythm (and maybe cool nc for each count)

one thing i also noticed is that the tapping rhythm has some inconsistency:

this slider 00:16:615 (3) - starts after the lower note (00:16:146 (2) - )
but this slider 00:19:896 (2) - starts at the lower note (not really a problem because it's a repeat slider), but afterwards each slider starts on that lower note until 00:27:396 (2) - where it goes back originally.

maybe not really a big deal but thought i would point it out

00:06:068 (5) - this 1/2 beat just feels out of place considering you were doing those 1 beat pauses that fit really well
00:13:803 (1,2,3,4) - how about this kind of rhythm to better emphasize the vocals

seems fine to me, plays more interesting and a bit less dense, also combo 4 on vocal four :v

one thing i also noticed is that the tapping rhythm has some inconsistency:

Note that whatever I say is my own opinion so you do not have to follow everything I say.

General
1) :idea: For emphasizing the countdown sequence (where she says 10, 9, 8 etc.), I was thinking that for that part, put 70-80% volume to have a big buildup.

2) 00:47:084 I like the idea of silencing the spinner, but I recommend adding more timing points after that for a smoother fade out; more timing points = smoother decrease in volume.

Easy
No major concerns.

Normal
1) You use 1.25x distance snap. Some parts such as 00:06:537 (2,3) have 1.3x distance snap. I know you can have at least a 0.05x uncertainty, but I will try and be more anal with distance snap. Try and get it as close to 1.25x. It is a small thing but can make a lot of difference.
- Applies to 00:40:990 (4,1) -

Advanced
1) 00:08:178 (1,2,3,4) - You give 1 and 2 a tighter blanket compared to 3 and 4.

2) 00:30:209 (6,1) - Why the huge change in distance (1.1x compared to 1.0x)? Probably a mistake?

Hard
1) 00:05:834 (6) - Considering the previous patterns, shouldn't this slider be a single note? The rhythm is perfectly fine though, but you also leave a break in the next pattern as well.

2) I notice that you stack a lot. On one hand it does look a lot nicer, but on the other it does make the map feel boring. Try and reduce the amount of stacks you have to spice up the beatmap.

3) 00:43:803 (1,2,3,4,5) - The pattern is not a straight line. It is a really small thing if you want to fix it though, but it does look a lot better if you make it perfectly straight.

Insane
1) 00:05:834 - Considering the previous patterns, shouldn't this slider be a single note? The rhythm is perfectly fine though.

2) 00:15:209 (2,1,2,3) - This part feels really cramped in my opinion.

3) 00:16:381 (4,5,6,7) - This is the part that I do not like. It feels really awkward to play in my opinion with the double 1/8 sliders, while transitioning to the next 2 notes; in fact the 1/8 stacks in your extra diff were much easier to hit, despite the lower tolerance in the extra difficulty. For me I would just go with a 1/8 repeating slider.
- 00:42:631 (2,3,1) - This part was fine, but not fun to play.

Extra
1) 00:05:834 - Considering the previous patterns, shouldn't this slider be a single note? The rhythm is perfectly fine though.

2) 00:39:349 (2,3) - 2 and 3 are not symmetrical arrow sliders so it does look a bit weird.

Final thoughts.
Everything except Insane was really good. Insane is fine but those 1/8 sliders ruin it for me. I was very anal with some things but they can make a huge difference.

1) 00:05:834 - Considering the previous patterns, shouldn't this slider be a single note? The rhythm is perfectly fine though. same as hard

2) 00:15:209 (2,1,2,3) - This part feels really cramped in my opinion. chanaged abit, but feels fine to me

3) 00:16:381 (4,5,6,7) - This is the part that I do not like. It feels really awkward to play in my opinion with the double 1/8 sliders, while transitioning to the next 2 notes; in fact the 1/8 stacks in your extra diff were much easier to hit, despite the lower tolerance in the extra difficulty. For me I would just go with a 1/8 repeating slider.
- 00:42:631 (2,3,1) - This part was fine, but not fun to play.
those are pretty much the "core" of this diff and the whole map is built around them

Extra
1) 00:05:834 - Considering the previous patterns, shouldn't this slider be a single note? The rhythm is perfectly fine though. like other diffs

2) 00:39:349 (2,3) - 2 and 3 are not symmetrical arrow sliders so it does look a bit weird. didnt really like htis anymore either way, remapped

Final thoughts.
Everything except Insane was really good. Insane is fine but those 1/8 sliders ruin it for me. I was very anal with some things but they can make a huge difference.

General Comments:

  1. Song Folder: Looking at the audio waveform tells me your mp3 has a bitrate of 320kbps which is unrankable. Ordinarily I'd say to take the mp3 from the ranked version, but I noticed that I faded mine out slightly differently to yours, so I decided it would be easier to just encode you a new 192kbps version, which you can find here.
  2. Song Setup: No issues, but damn those are some funky looking difficulty settings ay xD
  3. Metadata: You can add some more tags to make the map easier to search, such as "Touhou" (even though it's not a remix, it's still a related work produced by a th circle, "Kiss & and Crazy" (the second song on the album that this serves as an intro to) and some genre label; dubstep, electronic, or whatever. I got coerced into adding "here we go now" into tags for mine to support a meme, up to you whether you choose to partake in this or not ;)

  2. 00:19:896 (2) - Nitpicky, but this might overlap with some skinned life bars, any chance you could move it down a tiny bit?
  3. 00:45:678 (1,1) - 1/2 note+spinner spacing might catch some players off guard, as the spinner appears midway through the movement between 00:44:740 (6,1) - To make this as clear as possible to read and play for a beginner, I'd recommend pushing the spinner start back to 00:46:146

  1. 00:05:834 (4) - Reasoning for this being a slider when you emphasized the other snare hits with a circle? If it's for the high-pitch synth sound here, you could also make 00:07:709 (4) a 1/2 slider for consistency, though at this difficulty I think a circle would fit better to maintain a sensible note density and difficulty curve. It might not seem like it, but to newer players the difference between leaving a 1/1 space and filling it in can be significant, even on short maps like this
  2. 00:17:318 - I'm a little concerned with this rhythm to be honest - using 3/2 sliders is nice for variety I guess, but considering the relative equality in prominence between this and 00:17:553 (1) - having one as a slider end and one as a clickable object makes no sense. Changing 00:16:615 (4) into a 1/1 slider and circle would play much better imo, since the snare sound at 00:17:084 is also reasonably prominent. Applies to the other 3/2 slider patterns in this diff, since they're all mapping the same extended synth sound
  3. 00:45:795 (1) - Similar to the Easy, a larger note+spinner spacing would ease readability here for newer players. Consider starting the spinner at 00:45:912 instead
Advanced
  1. 00:05:834 (6) - Similar to the Normal there's a small isuue of consistency here, except here you for the higher difficulty you should consider making 00:07:709 (5) into a slider as well to create some differentiation from the previous diff. If youi choose to apply this, do it on the higher diffs as well, since you used the same idea there
  2. 00:20:599 (4,5) - Consider reversing the order of these to make the strong synth sound at 00:21:068 clickable. I understand that you're trying to vary the rhythm, but this is really throwing me at the moment. I guess if you wanted to vary anything here, changing 00:19:428 (1,2) into circle + 1/2 repeat slider would work; since the drum sound at 00:19:896 is less prominent than the synth, it doesn't feel quite so odd as a non-clickable object to me, but this is just a suggestion. You can still create variety by changing direction on the playfield if you don't want to make further rhythm changes. Apply this throughout again if you decide to change it here
  3. 00:22:240 (4,5,6) - Related to the above, this could be slider + 2 circles, since both 00:22:709 and 00:22:943 are strong sounds (snare and synth respectively)
  4. 00:45:678 (1,1) - I think players at this difficulty should probably be able to contend with a 1/4 note+spinner spacing at this bpm, but I'm bringing it up regardless, up to you whether you decide to keep it or change to 1/2 as in the Normal

  1. 00:13:803 (1,2,3,4) - Despite this being a nice buildup section, the 1/4 5plet really caught me off guard here. Considering the small amount of reaction time from the previous object (also 1/4), I think that replicating 00:14:271 (1,2) to use 4 1/4 sliders would be easier to read at this point and present less of a difficulty spike to the player
  2. 00:35:131 (3,4) - Flow here is quite awkward for me due to an unexpected direction change. You have to move slightly away from (4) during the transition before you can start moving down. I found that rotating (3) to point directly away from the head of (4), roughly 15 degrees clockwise, played a little more comfortably
  3. 00:45:678 (1,1) - No need to go with 1/8 spacing on a Hard diff, 1/4 will be enough
A lot more 1/4 tapping than I was expecting, but a quick look at the Insane tells me it's pretty much necessary due to the 1/8 kicksliders and such to avoid a spread issue. Gap from Advanced might be a little high since that diff uses almost exclusively 1/2, relative to this using almost exclusively 1/4, but would ask some more opinions before changing anything drastically.

  1. 00:09:584 (4,1) - Stacking these is really counterintuitive to me, since you're in a building up section, why suddenly utilise a drastic reduction in spacing? Players will expect to continue the patterning of 00:08:178 (1,2,3,4) so I feel a placement such as [142,126] would be far easier to read, and would also create a neat even spacing between this and the slider tails of 00:08:178 (1,3)
  2. 00:29:974 (5,6,1) - Potential readability issue here, since it's difficult to tell that (1) is a slider without using peripheral vision to see the slider end distance away. I like the effect you're going for here, but I feel that it somehow causes more harm than good. Avoiding the overlap here might be a better option
Usage of 1/8 sliders is an interesting touch, though since I'm a scrub Std player it's not something I'm entirely comfortable with. Definitely recommend getting some more opinions on this, since it might be totally fine - I just can't say for sure, and wouldn't want to ruin your concept unnecessarily.

Extra
  1. 00:22:709 (1) - Why such a high SV? This is totally unexpected considering it can't be played as a kick slider and requires movement to hold. 1,5x SV as you used at 00:24:584 (3) would be enough here. In addition, the more sudden stop necessary to play 00:23:178 (1) really destabilizes the flow at this point, so reducing SV will make this smoother and more comfortable to play

  1. 00:10:404 (2,3) - This 1/4 spacing is really unexpected, please reduce the distance by moving (2) to the left, since the 00:10:053 (1,2) is kinda small. x-152 feels much better to me
  2. 00:13:216 (4,5) - This spacing is also a little uncomfortable due to the slight movement to the left required to hit 00:12:865 (1,2,3,4) - it's very easy to miss this by jumping too early. Consider reducing the spacing here a little to provide a smoother buildup in difficulty
  3. 00:22:709 (5,6) - This spacing is uncomfortably small and kills the flow for me, it's possible to overshoot even without dashing to the right, the expected movement here given the previous patterns. If you rotate 00:21:303 (1) anticlockwise slightly you can move 00:22:006 (2,3,4,5) slightly to the left to allow yourself more space here. Just a suggestion, feel free to do this another way if you want
  4. 00:37:592 (5,6,7,1) - This one goes too much the other way, fairly strong movement to (7) after a strong hyper in the opposite direction of (5,6) can make it hard to hit the next hyper to (1). Try reducing the spacing between (6,7) if possible
  5. 00:43:803 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I'd strongly recommend reducing the amount of wiggle required for these, since right now they present a major difficulty spike right at the end of the map which is really uncool. Moving 00:44:037 (3,4) to x-168 and 00:44:505 (7,8) to x-344 would be more fitting here for this difficulty imo

  1. 00:06:303 (1,2) - Would consider reducing the spacing on this a tiny bit, the antiflow so early into the song is pretty unexpected here, and the high AR makes reading a little problematic
  2. 00:19:193 (9,1) - Strong-ish hyper into antiflowing slider is just asking for droplet misses. Reducing the sharpness on this and/or the hyper strength would be nice here
  3. 00:32:553 (1,2,3) - I find the movement to (3) here pretty uncomfortable, like I'm not quite sure whether the spacing requires a dash or not. Stacking (2) on the head of (1) and moving the red anchor point on (1) to the right slightly feels more comfortable for me
  4. 00:37:592 (6,7,8,1) - Kiai or not, are you sure you need to emphasize these allwith hdash? Feels pretty excessive to me considering they are all of differing strengths and the use of CS5 makes it really easy to miss here without precise timing
  5. 00:43:803 (1,2,3,4) - So this was a wiggle pattern in the Rain, but in the Overdose it's a plain old left/right hyper chain? C'mon man you can do better than that, at least use some inverted sliders, utilize a wiggle pattern in the previous measure or something, since right now this is easier than the Rain despite being the climax to the song!

I fixed the spinner, rhythm stuff is partially applied as I remapped some stuff to add some more 1/4 rhythm

    and this is way louder/stronger than 00:24:584 (3) so higher sv is justified for me.

The current mp3 contains frequencies greater than 20kHz, indicating "effectively" lossless (as much as a lossy file compression type such as mp3 can be) audio. Peak banded frequencies are still present in the 20kHz region, indicating that bitrate is at least 320kbps.

as you can see the difference to the 320 version is quite significant in both cases, and both "192" versions look extremely similar to each other
keep in mind that different encoders produce different results for the same bitrates
current version is "original" encoded as 192kbit in audition (with some silence cut off) which uses the Fraunhofer encoder
idk which encoder was used for the version you provided, so having them a bit different is to be expected

  1. Opening jumps are a bit sporadic and I think should make a bit more sense. This is just a personal opinion so I'm not marking anything.
  2. 00:04:662 (2,3) - These don't really have a good "flow" (to coin a beaten down term) to each other or the four (00:05:131 (4) - ).
  3. 00:06:303 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - A lot of your jump sequences in general just don't make much sense to me for a quiet/calm opening to a song. The DS just seems to be over the top more than anything.
  4. 00:08:178 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - Like, why are these all spaced in increasing DS when the song is getting only slightly more intense?
  5. 00:10:287 (2,3,4) - In my opinion, for a song like this a triplet's direction should be similar to the trajectory of the mouse. Right now its kind of perpendicular to the trajectory.
  6. 00:13:803 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - I don't really like this as a triangle. I think it looks pretty bad and jump straight line spaced streams and stream jumps (even though its low BPM and you could probably just single tap it) are a lot harder to play than curved streams in my opinion. I think the current shape just makes it unnecessarily difficult for the song.

    Because it is getting more intense, like you just said, I changed it a little bit though

Let me start off with a small comment on Hard;
00:14:271 (1) - I don't feel like the NC is necessary here, remove it please

On Insane, I recommend toning down the sv of 00:41:928 (1,2,1,1,2,1,2) - as it feels a bit too fast

On Extra, I suggest not ncing 00:08:646 (1,1,1) -

You could also rotate 00:11:459 (8) - like -50 with selection centre for better flow towards 00:11:928 (1) -

00:15:209 (1) - Not sure if this NC is necessary either. I guess it looks better but I'm speaking technichally

My biggest concern with this map however is that 00:15:678 - till 00:28:568 - and 00:30:678 - till 00:37:943 - does not flow well at all because of the awkward breaks in between. In the insane diff you compensate for that by using cooler patterns but here it feels incredibly gray/boring/meaningless. I feel as if you could have done something way cooler in this difficulty if you are creative enough.

My other big concern is that even though I fully understand how throughout the kiai time it's building up to the climax of the song, 00:42:631 - to 00:43:685 - honestly feels exagerated. I would let it slide if you adjust the positioning of the sliders so they flow easier and it feels less as if you are throwing your cursor over the screen. Specially 00:42:865 (1,2) -

The lower star rating difficulties are all technichally correct, and I have no extra recommendations on enhancing them; I like how they are.

On Extra, I suggest not ncing 00:08:646 (1,1,1) - I think using nc purely for visuals is fine here, not having nc draws followpoints that look weird with those stacks

You could also rotate 00:11:459 (8) - like -50 with selection centre for better flow towards 00:11:928 (1) - rotated it by much more actually. It's kind of a leftover from the old pattern, should be nicer now

00:15:209 (1) - Not sure if this NC is necessary either. I guess it looks better but I'm speaking technichally It looks nicer and makes the drastic sv change better to anticipate

My biggest concern with this map however is that 00:15:678 - till 00:28:568 - and 00:30:678 - till 00:37:943 - does not flow well at all because of the awkward breaks in between. In the insane diff you compensate for that by using cooler patterns but here it feels incredibly gray/boring/meaningless. I feel as if you could have done something way cooler in this difficulty if you are creative enough.

My other big concern is that even though I fully understand how throughout the kiai time it's building up to the climax of the song, 00:42:631 - to 00:43:685 - honestly feels exagerated. I would let it slide if you adjust the positioning of the sliders so they flow easier and it feels less as if you are throwing your cursor over the screen. Specially 00:42:865 (1,2) - the whole diff is kinda exaggerated and I don't really know if I'll keep this diff anyways. But for this pattern, with how lenient the sliders are it plays fine as it can be played as some kind of back and forth with slight rotation

The lower star rating difficulties are all technichally correct, and I have no extra recommendations on enhancing them; I like how they are.
