Osu! Community Get-together! U.S.

Basically, a ton of people would always love to meet up with their friends or famous players who play Osu!. In order to accomplish such a goal, the community would have to pull together and rent a large warehouse/stadium in order to house the people. We could accomplish this through a community funding program.
Locations and dates are currently unknown. Looking forward to hearing any feedback we get from the community.

It will have to be this Summer or over the Spring Break because I really can't swing Christmastime.

But, there are some people I'd REALLY like to come along. Zalaria and Zman specifically.

EDIT: Zak can't come along. He's kinda stuck with his family right now.

Summer Break is ideal, but it would have to be in June, before the holidays. Also, I have no idea how to do a community funded program.

You might want to work with people to plan multiple locations because of how large the US is and how spread out users are. Someone that lives on the east coast may not be able to travel all the way to California for a meet up.

A more central area or close to the area with the larger amount of players would be best. Multiple locations would be too difficult to work around right now, due to how little information and ideas we have thrown together. But it's something to keep in mind.

I believe I'm the only person who lives west of the Rockies... I'd be more than willing to hop over the mountains to see y'all. BTW, we should get a list of who lives where. (Just State/portion of state)

But, please, continue to hype this. I don't want this to be just another idea that expired before its time. Spread the word. We are having an IRL meetup!

There are many locations where the player concentration is heavy.

And it's not like you have to be at all of the meet ups, you can organize other people to host them.

Well we can't exactly organize other people to hold them yet, since we don't have many people in general.

I'm so down for this, i have a lot of college work to do and im going to be with my family a lot since some stuff came up but if i can ever make this i would be there.

There's a lot of conventions that osu players can meet up in.

One of them is Anime North (correct me if I misspelled it) in Canada. I believe there was a picture of Bowlget and Azer floating somewhere in Ask.fm? There's also several meet ups that happens in the European country. My friend Bouzery showed me a picture where severaltop osu Finnish players met up at a LAN.

If were just talking about renting a warehouse or a room where players can meet up, well I don't know what to say. It would be pretty fun, but the United States is a big place. I would love to have a meet up at New York City, but I don't know how people from California or Texas would show up. There can't be one U.S meet ups, there would have to be at least three (West,East,Central).

Buuuuttttttttttttt, like i said, I would love to go to an Osu! meet up ^_^.

Conventions have been thought over, and there are issues that come along with them. Some issues include: Tickets, locations, disorganization at the event, etc. Also, as of right now, since not many people are on board with the idea, we can only have one location since we don't have people in multiple locations to organize.
