Never really posted on the forums but just wanted to say That I'm sorry to hear the Map didn't meet the criteria.
I've been playing this map for quite a while even before it hit qualified status and I hope to see it ranked soon one day ♥

I can't believe most people don't seem to care about the completely lazy and sellout mapping of the section after the kiai. It's literally the same as the kiai with a slightly different main rhythm but it's 1/2 with no jumps and spacing changes (And it doesn't even follow that 1/2 rhythm correctly, see how 03:29:727 - should be a click, not a slider end, on all 3 Insane+diffs) compared to the kiai's cross-screen 1/4 jumps.

For what it's worth this applies to All of Fort's difficulties, not just the highest one.

I fail to see how this is literally the same as the kiai, it's not as intense at all and this is a completely different section here. There was originally a break so players could take some rest after the kiai. The purpose of this section is still exactly the same, except that now it's mapped as requested.

It's certainly not as intense, but going from the hardest part of the map to the easiest just because the main rhythm changes from occasionally dipping into 1/4 into a non-consistent 1/2 pattern is completely bonkers. The background 1/4 rolling is still going exactly the same from the kiai, which is used quite extensively to have high spacing and energetic movements during the chorus even when the main beat isn't in 1/4. Completely ignoring the fact that every other layer is the same as it was before is just lazy mapping.

Note that I fully approve of having an easier section between the kiai and the second kiai that isn't even a kiai but it's not as energetic as the chorus so whatever don't kiai it, my problem is that it's too easy. It's almost as if you were told "this can't be a break because stuff actually happens" and just to spite modders some random notes were lazily shat out in an hour. At least your diff follows the 1/2 rhythm accurately, Aleycks, the rest of your map aside. Fort's is literally a random 3* 1/2 interlude.

what are you talking about? i put on exactly right rhythm, right melody, and right time when i put both part are like that nobody complains, probably you should learn how to being good mapper instead of making the map is shitty, pls take a look at overall on maps, almost the part of the maps follow melody rhythm, if you want map this song with your style, pls map yourself

the kiai time is okay when i put some 1/4s because it is to reduce 03:01:909 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,2) - and 03:10:636 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,2) - high spacing jumps, so yeah i should do this for better gameplay, and if this being DQ'd because of that, im sure they break the rule about map should be placed to the correct beat, and im put correct beat, and it's consistant with other diff, and where is your problem at? you need 1/4s? try map yourself once again

as a real proof i put 1/2 patterns on 01:45:110 - on Highscore beat map and it's not a big deal for 4000+ people in the world.

I never implied that the map should be DQ'd due to the crazy 03:01:909 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,2) - jumps. They're whatever. Mapper spirit, etc etc.

Maybe if you could read my post, I was explaining how the section after the kiai doesn't even follow the rhythm that you're supposedly mapping to make it so much easier than the kiai before it and the chorus after it. Maybe some 1/4 will be nice, but largely you should be having actual rhythms with actual sliders starting on red ticks to fit the rhythm. Because you do that in the rest of the map - you follow the rhythm quite well, spacing aside - and it's incredibly weird that you suddenly abandon it for a section you were "forced" to map. Hence why I said it's "insulting" - you're only hurting yourself when you intentionally don't put your full effort into your maps.

I'm not actively trying to DQ this map, I'm just complaining and if there are enough complaints it will get DQ'd, but you have an army of fans who know fuck all about mapping and due to recent changes in the ranking system, suddenly their opinions are more valuable than actual mapper's.


In the end, this is largely my only complaint - I certainly don't like this map, as it tries really hard to be "harder" than Highscore, even though the song itself is comparatively less energetic and powerful. You're forcing your own standards on the music, using the music as a springboard to make a map that will grant you the attention you seek - this is, to me, offensive, but it's not against the rules and I don't judge you for it. Everyone has their own reasons for mapping.

He's tempted by laziness and addicted to the praise of random players who know absolutely nothing about this game or about mapping. That has no relevance to his actual mapping abilities, which are generally quite good when he's not trying to do something stupid.


It's largely irrelevant to consider "most popular maps" as "best maps" - the PP system saw to that. Bigger numbers with less effort = more popularity, and nobody embodies this rule quite as effectively as Fort.

if you said maybe why you complain for your problem? since lot of people didn't much complaining with it, so yeah people liked it because they know what is a good map and what is the bad map they're not a dumbfucks, they're precious people who needs to be respected, atleast i give them all i have to make sure my map is good for all, and you just 1 guy who complained really hard for this when i reject this almost everytime, you still don't get it.

once again, if you said "maybe some 1/4 will be nice" it should be your good options, not for my options who prefer 1/2 as patterning

this is really harsh when i spend all day all night to find mods to find testplays to find everything to be ranked

this is also insulting other people who like rhythm game and want to play a good beatmaps, there is really hard to find map like this so i made one and yes people want it too

something stupid is like when people just trying to play your map just only for pp and they're leaving without any fun inside the map, but yes im approving my map is really fun for myself and for people i have lot of respond when they're liked and loved the maps, this is what osu needs for now

There is a large fact that Aleycks maps the post-kiai with clicks in places that are properly following the main beat rhythm. Fort's three difficulties (Insane, Extra, EM) are all just plain white-tick sliders for the first half and offbeat swaps that don't even follow the rhythm in the second half. The offbeat swaps would actually fit if they were all 1/2 earlier, actually.
