why would it take youtube 5.5 days to upload my video?

I'm trying to upload a video to youtube thats 2 minutes, 1080p 60fps. Youtube says it will take 7600 8000 minutes to upload my video. How can I make the video upload faster without reducing the video quality?

What's your isp's advertised speed? A slow upload time is usually caused by the upload speed of your network.

my upload speed .79 mbps
I'm going to try changing it to 30 fps
EDIT: As expected, its going to take half the time. :/
I've uploaded 1080p videos before. It's never taken this long.
This is so strange. I found where my raw video saved unedited, 1080p 60fps, but less than 1/4 of the file size as my 30fps edited version. I guess I'll just upload that one.
I still wonder why my Edited version is so large.

Well, 0.79 mbps is around 0.09875 megabytes per second.

A raw 2 minute 1080p 60 fps video is around 3 gigabytes or something.
A raw 2 minute 1080p 30 fps video is around 1.5 gigabytes.

It will take long if that's what your internet speed is like.

The 60fps one I was originally going to upload is 40.6 gb. so weird.

That sounds like a completely raw footage. Is it from a camera or something?

The huge file was from after I shortened it in VirtualDub.

Hmm, if the file is that big, then you can always try to compress the file. There are plenty of software out there that can compress huge files like that without losing much of it's original quality.

There is no point uploading a raw file, re-encode it at 1080p / 60fps and it should be well under 1GB.
