could we maybe change the update to latest version to update mapset which could also download .osu files we don't have. could this would save having to redownload a map multiply times for the people who get a map b4 its in pending

Like Xgor said, it will come with the new osz2 file format, along with a bunch of other changes, just be patient. :)

Also, please try searching before posting as this has been requested before in this thread. (Possibly in other threads aswell.)
