Hello from mod queue, second mod in a full year, sorry if it's bad.

00:23:415 (1) - Start at 84|384.
00:51:658 (1,3) - Eh, not a big fan of these shapes. Either use basic curves, or improvise with something like adding bumps where there's snares.
00:55:349 (4) - Should be just two circles. The new bar shouldn't start with a slider end. You could turn (3) into a slider and then add a circle to the current (4)'s end.
01:31:456 (5,6,7,8) - I think the entire pattern could flow better with (5) at 208|44, (6) at 336|96 and (8) at 288|32.
01:39:318 (4) - New combo & 01:39:800 (1) - Remove new combo.
02:15:264 (4,5,6) - Start the whole pattern at 452|168.
02:40:138 (4) - Start at 396|324.
03:05:172 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - The spacing and NCs should be kept constant. The spacing is just confusing currently, and the NCs are just plain wrong.
03:20:898 (1) - Could fit nicely around 280|148 with vertical flip.

Yeah changed it back its like 05:17:055 (1,1) - is set to 1/12

Time

In general, you should try to pay more attention to where there are changes in the drumfills you map as streams to make the switch from streaming to kicksliders fit better. You also have a few spots where you have circles very close but not quite overlapping, and sliders that look like they're intended to blanket but don't quite fit.

Other than that's it's really fun to play, didn't really have any problems with the streams despite them being a bit above my comfort zone tempo-wise

  1. 00:27:740 (3) - looks a bit awkward since it almost, but not quite, sits on the end of 00:28:221 (1)
  2. 00:35:603 (4) - I don't really see a reason to make this slider this long, I assume you're mapping to the cymbal sound, but mapping the slider end to the guitar as you do in the rest of this section makes much more sense IMO
  3. 00:45:526 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1) - I'm pretty sure this should be snapped on the beat, not slightly before it. Also, since the drums play 4 16th notes on each tom, you should either make it a 4-circle stream into 4 sliders or a 8-note stream into 2 sliders, switching from stream to sliders at that point doesn't really follow anything.
  4. 00:59:834 (3,2) - again, the overlap on the slider end is slightly off
  5. 01:17:647 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3) - the switch from stream to sliders doesn't folow anything here again. Tom switches on 01:18:289 -
  6. 01:31:054 - starting here you have a lot of stuff snapped off the actual beat, you probably need another timing section here. It might fit with this snapping but it doesn't make any musical sense
  7. 01:32:873 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3) - another case of the switch from stream to slider
  8. 01:38:837 (1,2) - why do you silence the ends on these? there is a tom hit to map to, and you never silence any of the similar patterns
  9. 01:39:158 (3) - should be a circle
  10. 01:39:800 (1,2,3,4,5) - doesn't really make much sense to have a turn at 4 here, I would keep the stream straight like the previous one and have the turn into the slider on the beat.

Ok so you wanted some hitsound stuff and stuff and yes...
Never actually done a hitsound mod kinda thing so will see how this turns out.

First of all you can remove ensiferum and Jari Mäenpää (Mäenpää is also my last name weee) since Jari hasn't been playing in Ensiferum for like 12 years or so. And adding Jari as a tag is kinda random... Like why don't you add every member from Wintersun to tags as well then?

Imo you should get rid of those goddamn ping pong hitsounds. Yes I'm talking about those normal-hitnormal2 and normal-hitfinish2. That normal-hitclap2 is also kinda questionable wether it fits the song or not. Tbh imo you should just empty the folder of your hitsounds and start from scratch.

Yea most of them are stolen from Mazzerin and other maps but they usually fit fine for every metal song.

Getting another cymbal (more powerful) might also be a good idea.

Getting all kinds of tom sounds might also be cool but that's not really necessary. Like do this only if you want to be extra fancy about your maps. Otherwise just hitsounding the bass drum and snare is fine.

So now actually to the hitsounding:

00:00:299 (1) - Here imo you should start with a powerful hitsound. (normal-hitfinish5 from that pack should be good.)
00:00:619 (1) - Hear how the drummer is hitting the snare every 1/1 beat? Yea you should also place a snare on all of those white ticks.
00:14:741 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - This 1/4 part if only snares. So you should hitsound it as snares. 00:15:223 (1,2,3) - These are some tom sounds and you can hitsound these with some tom sounds if you want but not really necessary. The thing you have now on these is pretty cool imo.
00:29:184 (1,2,3) - Snares on these and 00:30:147 (1,2,3) - tom sounds on these
00:31:110 (1) - Now in this part there are no snares so you should not place any snares. You should just place some hitfinishes on 00:31:110 (1) - and 00:33:035 (1) -
00:34:319 (1,2,3) - Here you can use one of those normal-hitwhistle6's from the pack I gave you
00:47:959 (2) - Hear how every snare in this part is now on the red tick? Yea now you place the snares on the red ticks

Ok so this should give you a basic understandin of how to hitsound. Just place a snare everytime there is a snare in the song and a bassdrum kick when there is one. Me repeating myself over and over again on where to place stuff would be kinda stupid for me and that would take the learning away from you.

You should also hitsound streams properly. As in; when there is a 1/4 drumpart that consists of snares, you should hitsound it as snares for example 01:32:258 (1,2,3,4,5) - . Then there are stuff like 01:32:900 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3) - where the first two notes of the streams are snares (or bassdrum kicks) and the rest is bassdrum kicks (or snares). You should just hitsound the snares as snares and bassdrum kicks as kicks in those kind of streams (that was very repetitive of myself but whatevs).

First of all you can remove ensiferum and Jari Mäenpää (Mäenpää is also my last name weee) since Jari hasn't been playing in Ensiferum for like 12 years or so. And adding Jari as a tag is kinda random... Like why don't you add every member from Wintersun to tags as well then?

Imo you should get rid of those goddamn ping pong hitsounds. Yes I'm talking about those normal-hitnormal2 and normal-hitfinish2. That normal-hitclap2 is also kinda questionable wether it fits the song or not. Tbh imo you should just empty the folder of your hitsounds and start from scratch.

Yea most of them are stolen from Mazzerin and other maps but they usually fit fine for every metal song.

Thanks for the hitsound suggestions :D I know its a mess now redid a lot of things and left streams, snares etc empty because the current hitsounds would distract more then add anything so yeah basicly gonna start from scratch with these hitsounds and gonna dig further in lordraika's library.

For the jari tag, well his is the only name on the album cover and back of the cd so might aswell add it, and if I'm gonna add jari I might aswell add ensiferum taht was the logic behind that but I'll will prob delete them if this becomes a problem in about 2 years or so lol

  1. 04:11:119 - This part is not synced at all, I'd say you should change it, but that's your choice. It may confuse a few players a bit because of the offset changes (if they even notice while playing). Choose which Timing Points to keep and which to discard:
    Timing Point at 04:11:094 - (Offset: 251,094)
    Timing Point at 04:11:430 - (Offset: 251,430)
    I don't recommend adding those Timing Points in the Taiko diff because there's a stream in that part and it will make it look weird between circles.
  2. Add a Timing Point at 04:12:070 - (Offset: 252,070), circles sound late. To make the metronome go back to normal, add a Timing Point at 04:12:551 - (Offset: 252,551).
  3. Add a Timing Point at 04:13:847 - (Offset: 253,847), Offset goes back go normal here. To make the metronome go back to normal, add a Timing Point at 04:14:488 - (Offset: 254,488).

Yeah some in the beginning with the first stream (in standard) etc will prob need some 169.945 4/4 sign at the beginning and end etc since its off by +-20ms
Kinda sucks how the first album of wintersun is mixed since it's with all the songs unfortunatly that the drum can be a little off compared to the rest of the instruments but yeah let's see if we can get it fixed this evening/this week or something :/

Cool map and an alright song!

First off, it seems like the first part focused more on jumps, while there is much room for some tripples and small streams. It felt a bit lacking, but it played fine.
There's room for kiai in the second half of the song

00:26:295 (6) - this should be more bent upwards towards 00:26:777 (7) - and this should maybe be moved a bit higher up
00:45:873 (5) - meh, it felt weird to go from a stream to a sideways slider; the 5,6,7,8 pattern plays fine, maybe rotate it a bit?
00:56:785 (1) - this looks ugly with so many grey anchor points, and is unrankable iirc

Yep true, because of the constant 1/4 drum throughout the song, decided to only map the drum when it changes in intensity otherwise the guitar/synth thingy/etc
There's room for kiai in the second half of the song yeah I get what you mean I decided on kiaiing the chorus but theres only one unfortunatly, I had the kiai on the deathstream part aswell at first but decided to remove it bc it's distract more than add something to the song for me, will see what to do

Haven't really had any trouble bc of the slider leniency it should still be in the flow of the stream to (6) gonna keep it for now, will change this up if its gets mentioned again
