So I bought a brand new Wacom Intuos CTH-490 (Small) like two months ago to replace my old bamboo splash tablet because it was getting pretty messed up. I've noticed a high amount of input lag, although lately, I seem to be having more of a problem than before. I don't know if it's the input lag, or if I'm actually getting worse every day. I was warned about the high input lag (It goes between 1.4-2.9 at most, but I don't think it's that bad since I seem to adjust to it easily, unless it really is bad?) but I can't tell if I'm just getting worse. Like, I keep going too slow, or too fast now on things that I used to find really easy. I slider break from having my cursor barely off the slider or my cursor keeps flying around randomly off of stacked streams. I constantly break combo on really easy maps trying to improve old scores around 130-150+ pp but I keep playing like I did around only 80-90 pp plays, if not worse. I'll record some gameplay or find a stream VOD if that will help, but I really want to get back into the swing of training with mods and everything. My accuracy has also dropped significantly.
EDIT: So I just realized that this may be because my pen nib looks like it was cut in half diagonally, and that it may be sliding around and causing the lack of accurate aim. I started dragging as a bad habit, I don't even know how long ago, but I can't teach myself to hover again because I keep dragging even after weeks of focusing on hovering. Any tips? Not to mention that I play with my tablet directly in front of me, but most players play with it on the mousepad. I feel like I'm playing completely wrongly or something, I don't know. I couldn't play with my tablet on the mousepad because it made me feel uncomfortable which would have easily hurt my wrist and hands
