hard work unfortunately doesn't guarantee a ranked beatmap, and stating that because someone isn't a bn or an expert that they themselves don't know what they're talking about is pretty out there. i've been helping sotarks since he first uploaded the map and compared to all the other maps he'd made it was a huge improvement, and i'm really proud of him. but although i am proud of him and I know that he really, really deserves this rank, in my eyes the set is not rankable just yet, though it can be through more work. although more mods after you've recieved so many seems daunting, you'll be rewarded by having a good quality set qualified and ranked.

amount of mods =/= quality of the set

good luck with qualify/rank i suppose, be it a week from now or a month.

Hi, quick mod!

General:

unused file : sb\leafs\thumbs.db
AR 9,5 in extra is really overdone, I'd suggest using AR9 or 9,2 max, bpm is low and note density isn't that high

Extra:

00:02:270 (4,6) - ugly overlap, you can avoid it easy tbh
00:03:470 (2) - Ctrl G plays alot better tbh, is a more natural cursor movement when playing
00:04:327 (6,1) - flow is a bit broken this part doesn't play good at all IMO
00:16:499 (4,1,2) - i don't understand why the big jump from 4 to 1 and then you basically use antijumps for 2 and the rest of circles, tbh 00:17:185 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - all those need more spacing, since the beats are strong enought

Also, I can feel that the main issue of this set is this damn extra, so if it's really unrankable, i'm okay to delete this diff from the mapset, and make it as a bonus diff in the description of the thread. (just like the CtB diff)

I mean i'll do that if there are to many things to fix or if I need to remap, 'cause in fact I didn't want an extra tbh, but if it's okay i'll leave it also.
Just waiting until BN/QAT tell me what to do..

Imo the others diffs of the set are okay.

Yeah, I remember the extra GD of this set of mine: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/217628 had a lot of issues and my map was DQ because of that, but after a few changes have been made, it was rankable though, so I won't advise you to give up on the Extra completely, but I will advise you to, if you still have doubts about it, go through the diff again and try making changes where you think issues may arise. (It's usually stuff like tidyness, weird placements and bizarre jumps).But if you really don't want to struggle with the diff anymore, no-one is stopping you from removing it.

Okay, I decided to remove the Extra diff from this map set, 'cause I really think this is a bit messy or whatever, and in fact I didn't really want to make an Extra diff for this set, a 5* star diff is enough for the highest diff.
Also I'll put a download link for the Extra on the thread just like the Overdose diff as BonusDiff, for poeple who like messy map xD.

* 00:01:242 (3,4) - Ctrl+G'ing this rhythm makes more sense imo. You get 00:01:413 - to become clickable which is nice (Actually this rhythm is very common in asterisk maps and dnb in general so I encourage you to follow it more just cuz it fits so well xD).

* 00:08:785 (2,3,4) - Would have been nice to see a jump from 2>3 instead of 3>4 for better emphasis.
* 00:26:442 (1,2) - No jump?
* 00:32:270 (2,3,4) - Spacing is a bit confusing cuz 2>3 is actually 1/4. I think you can space 3>4 out more since 4 has a nice snare on it you can emphasize.

* 00:08:442 (6,1) - Slight jump here which is nice. But to make it consistent, you should give a slightly larger spacing to 00:11:013 (4,1) - as well!
* 01:19:585 (8,1) - This is actually a great way to use flow-breaks. nice!

[ReFaller's Easy]

While there is nothing inherently unrankable about this diff, it is really really simple in terms of rhythm choice. I would have liked to see just a bit more 1/1 rhythm. You use a lot of 2/1 rhythms and really long sliders so I'm slightly worried about the diff game between Easy and Normal because object density increases a lot between these two diffs. If you can make some of your sliders more complex that would be cool. For example:

* 01:30:899 (1) - You could make this a 2/1 slider instead and have a circle on 01:31:927 - . This is just an example of course, and could apply to other sliders. I think if you can make the rhythm in Kiai a bit more dense that'd really help with spread balancing.

just letting you know that there is a duplicate tag:

even if it belongs to both names you don't need it twice. would suck to get it dq'd for that (idk if that even is a dq reason, but still)
i know alacat gave you those tags so it might be fine, but remove one of them just to be safe as it's redundant anyways

no kds obviously

edit: oh and you should also add the gd mappers to the tags lol

Playing through both Linada's Insane and Heaven diffs, I found Heaven to be easier, despite the star rating difference. I know its because of the difference in beatmapping style. Just letting you know before I criticize that I can easily play both of these diffs. At 00:41:527 on Linada's Insane, the use of sliders can be difficult for somebody who usually plays 4.5* maps.

However, I can identify that the Heaven diff is pretty easy for somebody who usually plays 5* maps. I would think about the use of sliders at 00:41:527 and try to use a few more beatmap techniques in the Heaven diff to boost the difficulty to stay consistent with the level of players the maps are targeted at.

In my opinion, the rhythm choice used in both maps was pretty easy and predictable, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, stuff like predictability can make a map fun and I assume that players who would play this map already know the tune and would find it fun.

Just my thoughts

This is your opinion, but Linada and I have different mapping style, and it's okay like that, i'm not mapping this just for people to break on my map and mapping for the stars, i'm mapping this because i wanted to , and that's it.
