Hi guys! I just recently bought a taiko drumset from amazon and I realized that I have to hit it pretty hard for it to be responsive with the drumsticks already provided (they are plastic) I was wondering what a good replacement would be. I have no real knowledge of instruments but I really do enjoy taiko as it is really fun. This is the link to what kind of drum I bought. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001IBHTIG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

I don't know alot about using the taiko drumsets because I don't have one, but assuming regular old drumsticks work with it then the best ones are definitely Vic Firth and Zildjian. I personally prefer Vic Firth, but go into a music store and try them out, see how they feel in your hands, how you like the weight, etc.
