Best Microphone?

I'm trying to decide what mic to buy to record vocals, but just as a hobby.

My eye is on the Blue Yeti, but I'm wondering if the community has any other microphone recommendations. Anything that is of good quality and not extremely expensive. My idea would be around €100-€200.

Thank you~

Any sort of Shure, AKG or Sennheiser 'Large-Diaphragm Condenser' (LDC) mic would probably do the job for you.

When I was recording at the Music Audio Institute of NZ last year, we were pretty fond of using the AKG C214 - Was awesome for lead vocals and solo instruments.
A little bit more pricey though - I think it'd be about €400 - But still amazing quality for still "relatively" cheap.

If you're absolute about your price range - The AT2020 USB condenser should be all good, I used it when I recorded this: https://soundcloud.com/asher-mcmahon/pyt-acapella. Should only set you back about €145 - So it's not too bad considering the price.

Hopefully you're able to find what you're looking for, good luck!

iAshy's answer is perfect, but to touch on your mention of the Blue Yeti: If you're into other uses of your mic, say streaming etc., then go for it, because it is a very flexible mic that can do everything pretty decently.

Thank you! I'll look all of them up, and I'll decide then.
Thank you again!

I decided to go with my first choice, the Blue Yeti, and it's really good.
Thank you all for your other recommendations though!
