Does your heal of the hand/wrist touch your desk and/or mousepad or does your hand only touch the mouse?

And consequently: Do you use your arm or just the hand to move the mouse?

Reason for the question is I'm trying to get back to the mouse after playing with the tablet for some months.

ty in advance

My hand touches the desk
Tshemmp
My wrist is resting on the desk/mousepad.
I mainly use my wrist/fingers/hand to move the mouse but if there are very large and fast jumps I occasionally have to use my arm aswell.

wrist/heel touches, but there's very little pressure/weight

arm/wrist for very small movement

Wrist/heel of my hand touches the desk. I use my fingertips, wrist, and arm to aim depending on how far I have to move it. My arm glides along my mousepad but is still resting on it.

My both arms are fully on the table, so that no part of an arm rests on the edge of the table. How I move my mouse depends on my sensitivity, I used to play with very high (2500 DPI) sensitivity and used only my wrist, gradually lowered my sens to 700 DPI and used my whole hand to move my mouse, then I started increasing my sensitivity (1200 DPI now) and I mix moving the hand + arm.

I found that playing with low sensitivity helped my mouse control tremendously, and I suggest you learn to play with very low sensitivity and then go back to playing with high if you want to. I assure you that you'll increase consistency with mouse a great deal.
I Give Up
I was 400 dpi and fingertip grip with lifted wrist. Then yesterday I changed to 800 dpi coz I finally got better with claw grip and have my wrist planted on desk/mousepad now.
silento
It touches the mousepad.
Endaris
Touches the mousepad.
Anything else will make your hand unstable, maybe palmgrip would still work out.

Yes it touches.

I use pretty much every part of my limb (low sens)

no part of my hand touches the table. I drag my forearm across the table though.

I use only my arm to aim

I rest my wrist on the desk, move with my hand. Claw grip

Both of my wrists touch the desk when I play.
I push my wrist down on the desk when I singletap fast. it doesn't help

hand on desk and only hand to move as i use fairly high sensitivity. But it's all preference u should use what ever feels right for you.

This would depends on your sens. Low sens players are likely to use full arm movement, and high sens will use wrist movement. if your somewhere in the middle you might end up combining the two, dragging your wrist across the table when necessary for big jumps, but using wrist movements for smaller movements.
