Based on what I know a relatively hard mousepad with a surface that is as flat as possible does its job the best?

If you want a extremely cheap mousepad, you may want to try get a sheet of A4 paper then stick the scotch tape on the corner of the paper to the table with a scotch tape.

Quality is just average though, it might not work on some mouse with such a mousepad.

Just buy any mousepad, find the one that suits you.

Does it even matter that much? lol

I used corsair vengence tho

Hard pads dont have any friction so stopping on a dime is hard considering most mice are heavy and thus have high momentum. The most used spot also tends to wear out. Uncoated cloth pads and hybrid pads are best from my experience.
A dark colored mousepad with no graphics on it tend to be the best as differences in color could affect sensor consistency.

uncoated cloth pads are best for optical sensor and provide consistent friction. need one with good build quality so it is not too stretchy and stable underneath so it doesn't slide around. I has e-blue mazer small its pretty meh I don't recommend. Roccat sota or puretrack talent are good. also larger cloth pad is better.

Sota and Talent are both coated mousepads lol. A good cloth mousepad is either the Zowie P-TF/G-TF X or Artisan Hien/Hyaate Otsu,

If you have a laser mouse get a mousepad or better yet buy an optical mouse. It will definitely help you improve.

FunOrange wore a hole through his mousepad's coating. Just because (insert good player here) got good with a shit mousepad doesn't make that mousepad good. Im sure if he had the money he would buy an Artisan mousepad.

I just said in my previous posts that mousepads with graphics on it aren't ideal.

You dont have to wear a hole through it for a pad to become inconsistent which defeats the purpose of getting a "gaming mousepad". The Talent has QC issues, the coating wears off in a few months of heavy use, the horizontal glide is noticeably faster than the vertical glide, and the grip of the surface changes depending on weather humidity/how much you sweat in it.
