Hi!
Just wanna knows, what design program suits you. Photoshop or Paintshop?
And if it's possible, can describe why u choose it?

I already using Photoshop because it's mainstream software. (I didn't test Paintshop yet)
And, I used Photoshop for years. So, I comfortable with the UI..

I haven't tried PaintShop yet so I searched the Internet, not many results but based on what I've seen from people's experiences:
So long as you DO NOT mean Photoshop CC, personal preference. But if you DO mean Photoshop CC, good luck with the monthly subscription if you're all Adobe. PaintShop is "pay once and here you go!" so...you know.
I hope you know why the fellow OP asked.

For me, I cannot judge until I try PaintShop.

If you're using it in a professional / work environment your employers / yourself should pay but for everyone else just torrent it or something.

Sure is Adobe shills, the thread.

Seriously though if you're used to Photoshop just use that, no point in changing. Unless you go full weeb and change to Sai.

Sai is a pretty cool program you have to admit though.

GIMP, Paint.NET and many other open source/free software are out there that allow you to edit your photos. (aswell)

Too bad FOSS nerds suck at user interfaces.

<<< Photoshop user right here

To be honest, I've never heard of paintshop until now. It would be better if you use photoshop for editing and drawing. But, if you are more of an artist, your best bet is either SAI or Sketchbook Pro

This

I use paint.net because the UI is easier to understand and use photoshop only for drawning and .gif editing

Please, you know "piracy" is not a topic, dude
That's why I refrained from mentioning torrenting. Also tbh someone gave me Photoshop.

Need a legal copy? Good luck purchasing CS6. One-time purchase if I remember correctly. If still available, that is... and pray to God that I get enough time for a good trial in PaintShop.

I use Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and PantTool SAI.
Never heard of Paintshop X8
