...that's about it. All the other topics on this seems to be out dated.

Disclaimer: the Momo Kisaragi image doesn't belong to me!
The file format is PNG, and i made sure image size fits the screen.

The spinner metre has been replaced in skin v2.

Have you tried reverting the skin version to v1? That's usually how you fix it.
