If you mean tapping the z and x keys together, then I single tap.
I tried to alternate between the two once, but I feel more comfortable just tapping one of them.

I used to single tap when I started to play, but then I saw one of those crazy videos on "How to improve in osu" and the guy talking said double tapping was really nice, you get less tired, so I started to double tap... It was hard at the beginning, but now I feel kinda strange 'cuz I don't know anybody else about Azer that double taps.jessukaru wrote:

I tried to do double tapping, but then i wasn't sure if i was accidentally picking up on bad habits cause no one else was doing it so i stopped...
I prefer alt-tapping (z then x, then z again vice versa) sometimes when playing hard diff on std
but completely becoming half-alt in taiko

There aren't really any cons to full alternating except that it's harder to learn and less intuitive than singletapping. But once you've mastered it it's an excellent skill to have. rrtyui can alternate for example.
