channel (or some kind of language?) specific percolate?

hope this is not a duplicate again ;w;

so yeah um, i'm thinking of something...

how about making a language specific percolate? For some cases, some bad words may be spoken in chat. Therefore, we should make a language specific percolate

for example: titit is percolated into titik, kontol is percolated into kontrol, and so on.

if you ask the meaning of titit and kontol, it means dick or cock

This would add so incredibly many percolates
Also, some bad words are normal words in other languages, so I don't think that'll work out properly

Remember when the word "font" was filtered through chat when the new osu! font was out?

It destroyed French. "font" is used in "ils font" which just means "they do". Against this, it will lead to ununderstable sentences.

or like "dank" in german which is kinda annoying, even when it's not often used
"dank" is used in "Vielen Dank" ("thank you very much") to thanks someone


they should really consider to create language-specific or channel-specific filters

They seriously need to focus these filters on specific channels....rather then all of the channels

I don't think it will work to 100%. It surely will help people which are only active in one channel but for others which are multilingual and/or visit other channels it's rather impossible to make something concrete, especially #lobby and #osu would still require a potential filter for all bad words because these channels are the most common cases for multilingual offensive words.

I don't really know how this would work correctly without overlay with other languages except having a toggle for the language you have.

It only works in language specific channels. Apart from them won't work
