M4M c:Insane So first off, I'd suggest to turn the AR down to like 8,5. The BPM is slow and it would fit better for DT players as it is only 5* with DT
00:34:010 (3) - Ctrl + J and move back to it's place, for a better transition to the hits - doesn't make too much difference but changed it
00:47:010 (1,2,3) - This looks and feels weird while moving to the next slider - not really, and it makes sense to place them like that because of the piano, it goes from high to low, so it fits like this
01:23:260 (2,3) - Why increase the spacing so drastically? Feels weird - it fits the melody
01:23:760 (4,1) - ^ Even worse - piano is even louder
01:27:010 (1) - Here it is okay to have a bigger spacing because the song somehow gets more exciting with the following slider and the piano note on it, but before this, reduce the spacing - the rest is also similar to this, I'm not changing it
01:50:010 (5,6,1) - What about stacking these 3 hits to that slider 01:52:010 (1) - and making the jumps like that https://gyazo.com/98c69ded244bd14c66061e546eae44e8 that gives it a nice flow and matches with these 01:47:010 (1,2,3,4) - no, that would really be a big jump...
02:30:760 (7) - This hit is very irritating, as it doesn't match with the rhythm of the other jumps - it makes sense but I changed it
02:34:510 (1,2,3,4,5) - These are even more irritating, the spacing here is too big 02:34:760 (2,3) - - the piano is very loud, it fits and it's not too big at all
02:52:760 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1) - These have a weird shape, imo - no, their shape is quite average
I couldn't find any issues with the diff.
Overall I think that this is a nice mapset, I like the maps. Good luck and I hope that i can help you!
Thank you for the mod!Bonsai wrote:
ByBy always brings my attention to nice maps by asking me for the offset lol - As BeatofIke already mentioned, the piano is always a bit off compared to the rest, but I think overall offset 6 would be better (Kiai-parts would actually be even earlier ^^)
Also, have a star because lately I'm just shooting stars a lot~ - wow thank you! I really don't know about the offset though, just as many people I ask give me a different offset...so I'll just ask Charles or someone to make it sure
NormalInsane
- 00:47:010 (1) - Since the tail is overmapped anyways, I'd suggest making this just a 1/1-slider, as that would also build a better contrast to 00:48:010 (1) which is the start of the Kiai but is mapped the exact same way, not even higher SV or stuff - it is not overmapped because of the piano and this is a normal of course there is no slider velocity change o.o
- 03:01:010 (2,3,4) - While two consecutive 1/2-reverse-sliders is unusual I don't dislike it, I just dislike leaving out 03:03:260 since that has never been left out previously and it feels weird to map the 'perpetual' drum-1/2s twice but leave out these prominent piano-hits : \ - changed
- I don't really understand why you don't put the spinner at 03:04:510 already - If 03:04:010 (5) were the last note it wouldn't be that peculiar to suddenly put a spinner there because there's no other piano-note for a long time, whereas now the last note is a drum-kick, and there's a drum-kick 2/1 later so that is kinda weird imo. I'd just like to hear your reasoning for this ^^ For some reason I like it better in the Insane, maybe because 03:04:010 (1) is a slider there so it feels more like it's mapped to the fading-out piano-note if you know what I mean, maybe try in the Normal to make 03:03:010 (4) two circles and 03:04:010 (5,6) a slider instead? Anyways, I also think there should be a NC at 03:04:010 ^^ - 03:04:010 (5,6) - both are loud so I want to make both of them clickable and afterwards the music becomes softer (not as loud as before) gradually I think it's a good spot to place the spinner, there would be no point in mapping the rest of the beats because they are not as loud as before, moreover the spinner on insane starts here as well, I think NC is unnecessary, it's already the end of the map and NC just for 2 circles at this point doesn't really make sense imo
- Maybe make the spinner-volume fade out too? So setting a green line with 30% at 03:06:010 and 20% at 03:07:010 - It would fit better to the music imo. Same for Insane ofc - okay
That's it, good luck! one day I'll try to get into Taiko-mapping.. - do it!
- 00:47:010 (1,2) - Since (2) is overmapped I'd recommend making these into a slider - it is not overmapped, it is put on the piano sound! and because of the piano circle fits better than a slider
- 01:22:010 (5,6,1) - All of these stacks kinda bother me because the last note is a different tone, that's really unsettling for me q_q - I understand what you're saying but I wouldn't feel good about placing (1) far away, imo it doesn't fit and it's more comfortable to play if they are stacked
- 01:32:760 (2,3) - Spacing is really inconsistent with 01:28:760 (2,3) -, the music justifies a jump but it feels weird to force it at the first one when you don't stay consistent with it. Same with 01:40:760 (2,3) and 01:41:760 (5,1) where not as much stuff is happening in the music but the jumps are still that high and kinda make all the non-jumps inconsistent because of it - tried to rearrange these a bit, hopefully it's better
- 02:35:760 (5,1) - Seems also pretty low compared to 02:27:760 (4,1) and 02:31:760 (4,1) lol - changed it
- 02:41:885 (9,1) - Uh this is the only 1/4 that is spaced like that lol, either use it more often or nerf this - I guess I was waiting for someone to mention this because it was also disturbing me xD changed it
