I heard in korea about disappearing DirectX
is it ture?
is it ture?
..? In test mode already delete DirectXVeilStar wrote:
That sentence made little sense but... osu! is going OpenGL-only moving forward, yes. Assuming that's what you were asking.
i'm sorry my English skill is not goodBauxe wrote:
peppy is working to ensure that OpenGL will work just as good, if not better, on as many computers as possible. Try switching to the cutting-edge build to see if it runs fine for you. If not, you're best off posting about it in order to get issues addressed.
umm I ask last one thingBauxe wrote:
DirectX will be removed when peppy is sure that everyone (or, close to everyone I suppose) can play osu! on OpenGL without issues. There is no set timeframe.
You shouldn't need to change OS for playing osu! no.
osu! will run on any PC/laptop as long it have a graphic card.- [Mashiro] - wrote:

can you tell me about Recommended Specifications(?) for playing osu
CPU , graphic , RAM
//////
My computer Spec
CPU : T5550 (2 CPUs) 1.83Ghz
Graphic : Geforce 8400GS

With your specs, you should be able to get 200-300 fps on 1024*600 resolution
well..irrlux wrote:
I'm getting 160 fps (constant, sometimes dropping to 140) on 1024x768 on my notebook (win7):
- T7500
-> GMA X3100 (not a dedicated gpu)
- 4 GB DDR2
-> You may want to check your background processes.
I recieve fps drops in the song-selection menu.
Also, don't worry about the opengl-only future. A quick monitoring reveals the non-existence of any optimization regarding the renderer.

Get on with the times. Windows XP support has already ended: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... pport-help
Anyways, try following Karuta's advice for now and see if that helps.
thank youKaruta- wrote:
Your computer specifications are really low even by 2010's standards, but getting 30 ~ 130 fps is just weird
As long as Osu! requirements stays at DirectX 9.0c, OpenGL 2.0 and .net microsoft framework 4, you can keep using your computer to play
(No there is no way to run .net microsoft framework 4.5 on XP unfortunately)
OpenGL is actually the best way to allows all OS to run, DirectX 10 probably tore windows XP apart back in 2011
(OpenGL has a lot of benefits over directX but I just have no idea why)
comparing gpu with intel GMA
http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.ph ... lerator-hd
Intel GMA gives you about 330~170 depending whether you play with the video, s/b on or off (sometimes your fps may take a beating just because of the storyboard) (this is for those with slower processor such as i3-330M)
comparing cpu with an i3-330M
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core2-Duo ... re-i3-330M
I am assuming your computer is a laptop for that kind of performance, you can try download all of this and see if it is any smoother
Latest official Nvidia driver: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverRe ... 7225/en-us
Direct X: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=8109
Visual C++: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003
.Net Framework: http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/9154 ... 7-13-2015/
I have all these on my windows XP until I buy a new computer in year 2xxx
net framework 4.0's performance is not good to play osu?.net framework 4 is good enough to play osu!, I am just trying to point out that windows XP does not support .net framework 4.5 and later
4.5 is better?
I know about inside Graghic (In CPU)I think you meant intel graphics, for your computer you should stick to 8400GS
is it better Nvidia's Graghic?
