Where do I go from here?

I have had my account for a while now, but I really only started playing osu! recently. When I first started, I did what any sane person does on a rhythm game, and I played... a lot. So far I am happy with my progress in terms of rank and pp; however, my performance seems lacking. My main source of pp is fcing easy songs, which I have heard is a good way to get better, and this has been very efficient in going up the ranks. My problem is that I am not actually seeing any improvement in my ability to play the game. I can still only play the songs I was able to play when I was about 400k; I am now at about 300K. My question is one that is probably asked a lot on the forums, but I can't find a solution that is working for me. My question is: "In conjunction with practice, what else can I do to help improve my skills in osu?"

Work on improving your accuracy on 2.9 star maps first. Judging by your top ranks, you're barely managing to get an A on 2.9 stars. Try getting 95%+ accuracy on those maps. Once you can consistently do that with ease, move up to the next star range (3* to 3.1*) and work on getting good scores there.

Okay, I'll try that. Thank you very much. :)

I just started playing and every once in a while I would try to pass some harder songs, which eventually turned into trying to FC harder songs and before I knew it I was doing insanes already. It's just about getting out of that comfort zone and attempting to FC songs that seem like a pain in the ass at first glance.
