Article 1: Beatmaps
All beatmaps to be considered for tournament level play will be judged by the Tournament Officials.
Tournament map submissions should not be uploaded via the Beatmap Submission System or any other host. A publicly available uploaded map is disqualified from knockout round tournament play.
An official tournament map cannot be revealed to anyone other than the Tournament Officials until the designated time. If an official tournament map is revealed before this time, it will be removed from the official tournament map list. The beatmapper may be banned from future tournament map submissions. In the event that this occurs, the proxy beatmap(s) will replace the beatmap(s) that is in violation.
Article 2: Players
All players except Tournament Officials and banlisted players are permitted to participate.
Tournament beatmappers are allowed to participate, however any beatmap that has been created by them will not be given to their group or match.
Players are expected to be courteous to other players and to Tournament Officials.
Players cannot share or discuss any tournament maps with other players.
Players are not allowed to use any illegal third party software or hardware to give them or others an unfair advantage over other players.
Article 3: Tournament Format
All matches will be supervised by an official.
Round Robin
In the case of tournaments larger than 16 players, a round robin will be put into placed in groups of 4 players.
The top 'x' players will be seeded (x depends on division size).
Only one seeded player can be placed into any one round robin group.
The top seeds may be given a bye in case of a non-power of 2 division size ie. placed into the next round.
A tournament map will be selected for all groups to play for the round.
The group will participate in three free-for-all matches, with the 1st position receiving 3 points, 2nd receiving 2 points, 3 receiving 1 point and the last position receives no points.
The number of people to qualify in that round will be shown in the Matchup topic, and the top 'x' number of people will move into the next round while the others are eliminated.
In the case where a draw occurs where a qualification cannot be given, the players involved will play another match to decide this.
If the division is still larger than 16 players after the round robin, another round robin will take place until the division size reaches 16 or lower.
Knockout Rounds
If the number of players is 16 or lower, players will be placed into a knockout format.
Players are allocated numbers and then randomized.
Players will play a best out of 3 match on the same tournament map.
The winner will proceed to the next bracket while the loser is knocked out of the tournament.
This proceeds until we have a winner.
Article 4: Abnormal Matches
If the player leaves a game, they automatically forfeit that match.
In case that a crash occurs any time during the match until a replay of the match has been saved, a replay of that match is allowed.
This must be confirmed with a crash log or the player will be deemed to have left the game.
Article 5: Tournament Officials
The following people are Tournament Officials:
Any decisions made by Tournament Officials are final.
Tournament Officials are expected to be professional and courteous to players.
Tournament Officials cannot discuss or share tournament maps with any players.
Tournament Officials cannot give an unfair advantage to any player in anyway.
Article 6: Violations
