Wouldn't it be better for Bancho to announce when a map is ranked instead of when a map is qualified? It would cause less hype to the map which will help keep drama out of the way upon a disqualification and will also help keep the scores submitted during the stages of qualification be by people who have either known about this map/contributed to it or people who are testing it and seeing if any problems are still lurking. Announcing when it gets ranked instead of when it is qualified would also be an announcement that lets people know that (especially now with the new scoreboard but no pp system for qualification that might be implemented) that the map is permanently ranked and now you can gain pp from it without any worries of losing your score, which would interest a lot more people. Also, announcing a qualified map also causes a lot of hype that can be easily killed upon a disqualification, which can possibly lead to drama, you're selling the skin before catching the bear. Announcing when a map is ranked, on the other hand, would cause a lot of hype without any worry of losing scores/pp/etc. Keeping the community calm and shitstorms away.
