We (Rika and Nicklaus) would like to make the following announcement.
After many late nights discussing it, we have come to the conclusion that our wish is to share the happy news of our marriage with the people we have come to know on this board.
We first met on this board, albeit separated by a time in which Nicklaus was not active, we met and became aware of our mutual existences. After meeting and seeing what seemed like two completely different persons, we slowly came to realize how alike we are and the kind of emotions we both share for each other.
Progressively we have shared much of our past experiences, both good and bad, which only served to strengthen the bond we felt.
Nicklaus: I didn't know what Rika felt though, so I was hesitant to say the least. People like me rarely get chances that don’t end badly haha.
Rika: Reading people over the internet is usually rather hard, so I did not know about Nicklaus' feelings until I finally got the courage to ask. As it turns out, the love I feel for him is mutual.
We first shared our feelings for each other around the time of our birthdays some time back and since then engaged in a somewhat secret relationship, with how things were we decided to keep it under wraps. We were in a word, afraid. During that time we planned a wedding, which took place on the 16th of July in Denmark.
Nicklaus: Which was basically the reason I was away, sorry I lied to you remmy, oh-shi-.
It was a beautiful summerday in Roskilde when the marriage took place. The sky was clear, and the weather warm. As such, we had the ceremony moved outside the cathedral. Not many people were invited - only our closest relatives. Even with the soft breeze, it felt a lot warmer than it really was. It wasn't a very big wedding, we didn't have much money and we don't really have any now either. We kept it simple to keep the costs down, but to the both of us, nothing compares to it.
Nicklaus: In spite of being exhausted from the heat, Rika looked more beautiful than ever in the sunshine. Rays of light illuminating the dress made it seem like it was made of diamonds, it made me think about her smile.
Rika: I would add something a bit more personal, but I'm afraid that I am currently incapable of thinking of anything to describe it, other than saying that I love Nicklaus more than anyone else in the world.
With this occasion we wanted to solidify our intentions with a few simple lines, but we’re both rather bad at such things, so we have enlisted the aid of Sir. William Shakespeare.
