1. It's a game that requires pure skill (there is no pay-2-win + in the end pure skill winz).
2. Music based game accessable for everyone, and most likely the only one so far + an "unlimited" amount of maps that are created by users.

"Friend" linked it to me and suggested I try it, sort've glossed over it until I saw "Ass Up!".

A friend introduced me to it, we play cod4 and his aim was awesome, so he showed me this game which helps his accuracy alot!

I had a lot of stress on a certain RTS game called HoN so i decided to quit that game and find something fun to play. And then a friend introduced osu! to me. Saw a couple of vids on youtube so yeah.

My buddy showed me this, and at the time I was playing Ouendan quite a bit sooooo...
random otaku friend showed me osu. I got addicted after an hour.

thought it looked alright. Spent like 30 mins trying to pass a half a star song cause i didn't understand sliders and my friend was
not nice enough to explain to me. (back in that time there was no such thing as a tutorial song and i was 'too cool' to look it up in the website lol)

Stumbled across osu! Taiko mode in Youtube while searching for Taiko no Tatsujin songs. Intrigued, I tried it out.
One year later, I'm still here, mostly because I have friends here, you can play offline and soooo many songs to choose from XD

Well I was a fan of the 3 Osu! games on the DS, so when I found out about this I started playing and loved it.
i found many videos of this game on youtube of most of my favorite songs. i looked at the website and it sounded good. And i was searching for a game like this. with rythm and (japanese) music.^^
i always loved rhythm games and i always got pretty good pretty fast. and then i found osu on youtube...
easy enough i guess... except i was wrong...

Alright so there was this guy who I used to date that forced me into playing osu! without a choice, so I started playing then ended up quitting in the summer of 2010 until March 2011.
I then started continuing with ctb. Then in about early June, I started playing standard due to a friend (aston) commenting on my stream speed. >: Hohoho.

Cuz another game that I used to play was down for a 3 day maintenance. After the maintenance I couldn't stop playing osu :c and now I'm stuck to ipad osu.

Played one map, got pissed at my D rank, tried to make it an SS, did it 300 tries later, became addicted :3

found on youtube looked cool so i tried it out raged at it since i couldn't hit any of the circles :l then got used to it then it got fun 
Saw it on a youtube video. It was interesting so I had to google so many search terms and found this place. :L
I like japanese songs and the beats/rythm of each map makes it even better + helps me improve my mouse aim

and i play osu! because i heard some weird whistling noises and drums in the background of a friend when voice chatting and when i asked "it is osu!!" and then she showed me some videos and i didn't really get what the heck was it about cuz u know... showing a song that is too fast to someone who doesn't know is not so good lol.
and so i played it cuz i was epicly bored aaaaand here i am.
