Fuck this is such a cute song.

  1. Disable Widescreen-Support if no SB is in use
  2. I usually don't notice things like this but concerning the spread, Easy uses only 2 hit-circles
while normal uses 75. This 'Jump' is a bit concerning. Consider replacing some sliders
with circles to improve the playabillity and the spread.

[Easy]
  1. Check AiMod; You have some unsnapped objects here.
  2. Rhythmical Issues:
    1. 00:31:699 (1) - Really consider replacing this slider with 3 circles. You have quite heavy and out-
standing beats here. Using a slider just takes away the playabillity here and unfortunately, the fun
as well. Don't worry about the difficulty, it's totally fine.
    2. 00:52:683 (1) - ^
    3. 00:55:962 (3) - ^ // The bell in the music is what makes me think that two circles would
fit nicely here. They might be quiet, but they are still quite noticeable while playing. This again would
add a great deal of playabillity and fun.
    4. 00:58:585 (3) - ^
    5. 01:01:208 (3) - ^
    6. 01:03:831 (3) - ^ // More to highlight the vocals a bit but it's the same idea.
    7. 01:18:913 (2) - ^
  3. Cosmetical Issues:
    1. 01:13:011 (2) - I get the idea with the comboing here (I think). I highly suggest you NC this one
as well or remove NC from 01:11:699 (1) - (Altho I think adding it would round the pattern more nicely.)

[Normal]
  1. Rhythmical Issues:
    1. 01:13:503 - You have a really, really strong ending beat here. While playing, the last circle 01:13:339 (4) -
plays as if it was off-beat. I highly recommend you add a circle here with NC to really highlight this more and to
      fix this 'seemingly' off-beat circle.
    2. 01:14:978 (1,2,3,4) - I found this rhythm to be a bit... 'weird' while playing. It's not that it's wrong
since the drums are very clear in the background, but the tapping rhythm on 183BPM is a bit harsh here.
Consider removing 01:15:798 (2) - .This will still keep the more important beats in check while reducing
the difficulty a bit considering that the whole kiai imo is signifficantly harder to play than the rest of the map.
    3. 01:21:044 (2) - ^
    4. 01:30:388 (2) - You take away a lot of playabillity and power here by forcing a release instead of
a hit on the very last and strong beat. I highly recomment you use a circle here instead to ensure the
      things mantioned.

[Advanced]
  1. Check AiMod: You have an unsnapped object.
  2. Rhythmical Issues:
    1. 00:15:552 (3,4) - 00:20:798 (3,4) - It's a bit harsh to use triplets on an advanced. It's not placed
wrong in terms of rhythm tho, my problem lies more within the fact that you dont have anymore triplets
in this map ever, anywhere. Ontop of that, your hard uses its only triplets on the exact same places, making
the spread a bit questionable. I honestly would suggest you nerf them both with a repeat-slider like in the
example below to keep some more simplicity and also to keep consistency.

[Hard]
  1. Placement Issues:
    1. 00:37:274 (2,3,4) - More something personal: I really dislike the overlaps here. You can easily
scale that out a bit. The jumps would be small and would acctually fit with the bell(?) in the back-
      ground.

    2. 00:43:504 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - These spacing inconsistencies worry me a bit: Mostly because
the music dosn't signifficantly change in a way that would justify such 'dramatical' spacing-
changes. Nice patterns, but I sadly think that this should be fixed for the sake of clarity while playing,
and also as mentioned, because theres no other reason besides 'it looks good'.
    3. 01:10:389 (3,4) - Consider unstacking these. Reson for this is that theres another stack
01:11:372 (2,3) - following it with a 1/1 break between it. While playing, you can easily assume
that its the same rhythm. I'm asking for some consistency here, so either stack 01:10:061 (2,3) -
      or 01:11:700 (3,4) -
  2. Nazi:[/u]
    1. 00:56:946 (2,2) - I usually don't point these things out but considering that the rest of this
map is so fricking clean, this really needs to go. Please properly stack these.

[Lunatic]
  1. Rhythmical Issues:
    1. 00:16:618 (5,6) - I really think it is a 'mistake' to have two hitcircles here. Yes, it fits the drums
perfectly, but it is very awkward to play considering the jump pattern on 00:15:963 (1,2,3,4,5) -
this sudden slow-down is heavily uncomfortable. I suggest using a 1/2 slider here. It would catch
the beat but make it a bit more lenient and comfortable to play.
    2. 00:34:979 (3,4) - Why wouldn't you use a 1/2 slider here? It'd be a nice idea. Considering
that you used 3 1/2 slider on Hard for this part, I would suggest you do it here as well. The
bells in the background provide a nice oppertunity for this and would also vary the rhythm a
tad bit without missing a beat + it gives the player a little moment to breath as well.
    3. 00:37:602 (3,4) - ^
    4. 00:40:225 (3,4) - ^
    5. 01:29:651 (1) - Why would you break the consistency of the whole mapset here? I highly
suggest you set the spinner like in all other difficulties. It seems quite random currently. And
if you dont want to set the spinner earlier and remove/remap, then delete the current spinner
and map the very last bit.

I very much disagree with a lot of flow-related choices on the Lunatic Difficulty. However,
I do understand that this comes down to mapping-style and personal preference, which
if why I'll leave you with this little comment.

Overall nice mapset tho. Good luck!

I want to use this advanced to introduce triplets into the mapset, there aren't any more of them because the others aren't as obvious and would feel forced here. I don't get why it'd make the spread questionable though, but for now I won't change this

[Hard]
  1. Placement Issues:

    2. 00:43:504 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - These spacing inconsistencies worry me a bit: Mostly because

nice song <3

[Easy]

00:13:995 (3) - better to not mix clap and whistle, clap only does way better (on tail) this applies for every object and diff :3
01:04:486 - is a bad idea to use slowdowns on easier diffs also the gap between 01:04:486 (1,2) - those is higher than the prev notes and you're using almost the same spacing, kinda confusing for newbies imo
00:24:486 (4) - remove clap from tail, i know theres a drum sound in the bg but just try :3
00:27:110 (4) - since you didnt hitsounded the tail and theres a strong drum sound, change its sampleset to normal, fits great :3 (all diffs pls)

01:30:716 (1) - you NC'd this only here and normal diff, either remove or delete :p

that must cover most of hitsounds inconsistencies, good luck :3/

00:13:995 (3) - better to not mix clap and whistle, clap only does way better (on tail) this applies for every object and diff :3 The hitsounding is fine like that, not changed
01:04:486 - is a bad idea to use slowdowns on easier diffs also the gap between 01:04:486 (1,2) - those is higher than the prev notes and you're using almost the same spacing, kinda confusing for newbies imo I'll see for the slowdown, I think it's fine, for the distance they are one beat and a half apart instead of just one, plus the slow down reduce DS, so I wanted to space them a little more to show the difference
00:24:486 (4) - remove clap from tail, i know theres a drum sound in the bg but just try :3 It doesn't make a big difference indeed but this doesn't justify removing it imo
00:27:110 (4) - since you didnt hitsounded the tail and theres a strong drum sound, change its sampleset to normal, fits great :3 (all diffs pls) changed in another way
00:45:470 (4) - u know ^

General
  1. Disable already widescreen support please
Hard
  1. 00:13:504 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - consistent spacing please?
  2. 00:15:963 (1,2) - increase DS a bit to e.g. x1.5 http://puu.sh/iOTfk/08897e070a.jpg
  3. 00:35:635 (1,2,3) - I see no reason why should be 3 different from others, the sound isnt changing, so keep the pattern same as well
  4. 00:48:422 (4) - maybe make it more straight? when sliders are small and two circles of slider (sliderstart and sliderend) touch each other, its kind of ugly.
  5. 01:03:668 (3,4,5) - increase spacing here?
  6. 01:03:996 (4,1) - so if you increased spacing in previous note, it should be easy now to blanket 4 and 1
  7. 01:11:700 (3,4,5,1) - this pattern is ugly imo. maybe you could do something like this? http://puu.sh/iOTqn/4327b96bd4.jpg
  8. 01:24:979 (4,5,6,1) - move it a bit more up, so you can blanket these two 01:24:651 (3,1) -
  9. 01:29:568 - you are missing a note here

Otherwise really nice map, note that stuff i listed like patterns, and blankets is purely subjective point of view. But that missing note is quite imporant.

  1. 00:13:504 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - consistent spacing please? I want to create some emphasis by putting notes a little further
  2. 00:15:963 (1,2) - increase DS a bit to e.g. x1.5 http://puu.sh/iOTfk/08897e070a.jpg changed
  3. 00:35:635 (1,2,3) - I see no reason why should be 3 different from others, the sound isnt changing, so keep the pattern same as well there are some elements in the song that are different, and make me feel like making (3) differently
  4. 00:48:422 (4) - maybe make it more straight? when sliders are small and two circles of slider (sliderstart and sliderend) touch each other, its kind of ugly. Changed in another way, you may say it's uglier but in this case it's assumed because it's the shape a want for this
  5. 01:03:668 (3,4,5) - increase spacing here? It'd ruin the pattern, though I agree this needs more emphasis
  6. 01:03:996 (4,1) - so if you increased spacing in previous note, it should be easy now to blanket 4 and 1 it can be done without increasing ds too
  7. 01:11:700 (3,4,5,1) - this pattern is ugly imo. maybe you could do something like this? http://puu.sh/iOTqn/4327b96bd4.jpg changed but in another way
  8. 01:24:979 (4,5,6,1) - move it a bit more up, so you can blanket these two 01:24:651 (3,1) - It's okay
  9. 01:29:568 - you are missing a note here Not that big of a deal, plus it was left out for playability

Otherwise really nice map, note that stuff i listed like patterns, and blankets is purely subjective point of view. But that missing note is quite imporant.

[ General]

  1. Bookmarks are useful when mapping, but should be removed when finished (increases file size by a tiny amount)
  2. Try to use "Clap" instead of "Whistle" when doing K's, since claps are much more hearable in Edit mode
[ tasuke's Muzukashii]
  1. 00:01:536 (1,2) - Swap these? It sounds like pitch goes low->high
  2. 00:04:158 (7,8) - Same ^
  3. 00:06:781 (13) - This sounds rather as a d I think
  4. 00:09:404 (19) - ^
  5. 00:18:093 (30) - Remove to differentiate from Oni?
  6. 00:32:027 (17,18) - I think these 2 sound the same, I recommend doing either 2 d's or 2 k's
  7. 00:53:011 (17,18) - ^
  8. 00:56:617 (11) - This could use a finisher (and every part that starts the "NYA!"
  9. 01:16:781 (9,10,11) - idk, maybe a kkd isn't a good idea for a muzu of this bpm (if it was lower maybe)
  10. 01:22:027 (31,32,33) - ^
  11. 01:23:995 (42,43,44) - ^ but with ddk
Side note: if you accept any of the suggestions related to colour swapping (k -> d or viceversa) or Finisher using suggestion, you should apply to both difficulties to keep consistency.

[ tasuke's Oni]

  1. You missed 2 mappable sounds at 01:28:995 - and 01:29:322 -
  2. Another mappable sound 01:30:552 - (this time it's a vocal)
This diff was orgasmic. Fell in love with this difficulty, so apart from the colour swap and finisher suggestions, nothing else to add. Great job tasuke ╭( ・ㅂ・)و

1. Maybe boost the volume up 10% at all parts?
[tasuke's Oni]
  • lol
[tasuke's Muzukashii]
  1. Would be nice to add some 1/1 breaks to dense parts. Some of the map is continuous 1/2 (for example: 00:12:027 to 00:27:765 etc.).
  2. 00:15:798 (20) - Maybe for these parts delete the note after the kkk? It's pretty close to Oni (at this point, they may as well just play Oni, not Muzu).
  3. 00:27:273 (22) - Delete this for similar reasons?
  4. 01:23:995 (42,43) - kk for kkk? Since this is the only ddk, probably best to change it.
  5. 01:29:404 (17,18,19,20,21,22) - Don't want to match with Oni?
Great diffs, won't need to wait much longer for icon :p

00:45 Krfawy: so wait a sec
00:45 Krfawy: I will testplay in a few minutes xD
00:45 Alheak: okay
00:50 Krfawy: hmmmm ok
00:51 Krfawy: now I can test your mapppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
00:51 Alheak: nice
00:51 Krfawy: I hope it is playable and enjoyable and what is the most important
00:51 Krfawy: I hope it has cute sliders \w/
00:51 Alheak: it shouldn't be too hard
00:53 Krfawy: HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
00:53 Krfawy: so I am 50K
00:53 Krfawy: and I can pass it
00:53 Krfawy: should be enjoyable and passable and fun
01:01 Krfawy: hm
01:02 Krfawy: let me see if there are any mistakes orz
01:02 Krfawy: because for now I have only AR suggestions xD
01:02 Alheak: heh
01:02 Alheak: it's okay
01:02 Krfawy: how about AR5.5 for Normal | and AR3.5 for Easy?
01:02 Alheak: it's a mod after all
01:03 Alheak: i can consider that
01:03 Alheak: 0.5 isn't much
01:03 Alheak: but it should also feel necessary
01:03 Krfawy: well for me both diffs MIGHT be a lil bit faster in terms of ARs
01:04 Krfawy: but it's personal right
01:04 Alheak: i like 3.5 for easy
01:05 Alheak: 5.5 might feel a bit overwhelming tho for normal
01:05 Alheak: ill keep 5

01:06 Krfawy: so I personally suggest
01:06 Krfawy: 01:25:470 (1) - to put it like somewhere at X=358 Y=244 so the flow is like 'from the top to the down'
01:06 Krfawy: because now that 'to the top' flow is like 'might be better imo'
01:06 Krfawy: but it's a personal suggestion
01:07 Krfawy: also noobs aren't that good at spinning when Easies are made for them RIGHT
01:07 Alheak: it feels better indeed
01:08 Krfawy: 01:25:553 (1) - so how about placing it 01:25:633 - here
01:08 Krfawy: so there is more time to react from the note to the spinner
01:08 Krfawy: 01:25:798 - or even here XD
01:11 Alheak: i can place it on the red tick i guess then
01:11 Krfawy: yee
01:13 Krfawy: hmmm
01:14 Krfawy: I have no idea about Jap metadatas but still I believe you it's correct LOL69
01:14 Krfawy: oh wait one last thing
01:14 Krfawy: how about OD8 in Lunatic so it's more ppable D:
01:14 Krfawy: a suggestion ofc
01:15 Alheak: there aren't a lot of streams so i guess i can consider it
01:15 Alheak: does od really add pps?
01:15 Krfawy: yeah XD
01:15 Krfawy: the higher it is the more pp you gain
01:15 Alheak: okay
01:15 Krfawy: so that's all from me
01:15 Krfawy: update the map pls
01:15 Alheak: how about HP?
01:16 Krfawy: maybe let it be HP7 xD
01:16 Alheak: i feel like it's a bit high
01:16 Krfawy: if you're not sure about it you can use HP6.5 \o/
01:16 Alheak: so if it weighs less pp wise i could nerf it a bit
01:16 Krfawy: but HP7 should be fine :3
01:16 Alheak: .5 might not be enough
01:16 Alheak: mhh
01:16 Alheak: let's keep hp7 i guess

01:21 Alheak: okay then
01:21 Alheak: thanks
01:21 Krfawy: or I can put a standard icon now and someone bubbles it
01:21 Alheak: whats your map now :3
01:21 Krfawy: and you can call me back so I can qualify it
01:21 Krfawy: XD
01:22 Alheak: im having enough trouble with finding bubbles so that'll be the first proposition
01:22 Krfawy: okay
01:22 Krfawy: for now I'm posting an IRC mod and a star icon

  • lol - lol
[tasuke's Muzukashii]
  1. Would be nice to add some 1/1 breaks to dense parts. Some of the map is continuous 1/2 (for example: 00:12:027 to 00:27:765 etc.). sure. added 1/1s.
  2. 00:15:798 (20) - Maybe for these parts delete the note after the kkk? It's pretty close to Oni (at this point, they may as well just play Oni, not Muzu). i want to follow the synth completely, because missing rhythm may confuse players. instead, changed to more simply pattern, deleted some note, and made 2/1 break after this.
  3. 00:27:273 (22) - Delete this for similar reasons? Done.
  4. 01:23:995 (42,43) - kk for kkk? Since this is the only ddk, probably best to change it. removed 1/4
  5. 01:29:404 (17,18,19,20,21,22) - Don't want to match with Oni? yes. i think both patterns fit to song well
Great diffs, won't need to wait much longer for icon :p

SPOILER
2015-10-22 00:39 neonat: use 夕月椿 as the artist
2015-10-22 00:39 Alheak: official sources says "Tsubaki" written in romaji
2015-10-22 00:40 neonat: http://puu.sh/kSpN6.png
2015-10-22 00:40 Alheak: oh wait actually not
2015-10-22 00:40 Alheak: you're right
2015-10-22 00:40 Alheak: dam
2015-10-22 00:40 neonat: japanese ppl are tricky
2015-10-22 00:40 neonat: hue
2015-10-22 00:40 neonat: they like many names
2015-10-22 00:40 Alheak: yes
2015-10-22 00:41 neonat: 01:03:831 (4,5,6) - tbh very underwhelming for this portion of the song, just for you to think about
2015-10-22 00:41 neonat: i know the next part slows down
2015-10-22 00:41 neonat: but kinda slowed down before it actually happens I feel
2015-10-22 00:42 neonat: 01:14:158 (1,2) - I think a slowed slider that would cover over these 2 objects would have a better effect
2015-10-22 00:43 neonat: 01:25:306 - really gonna overlook this beat?
2015-10-22 00:43 neonat: omg this is a cut? man that's sad
2015-10-22 00:44 Alheak: yea
2015-10-22 00:44 Alheak: im a lazy fuck
2015-10-22 00:44 Alheak: it wasn't supposed to be serious
2015-10-22 00:44 Alheak: then full spread happened
2015-10-22 00:45 Alheak: changed what you pointed out
2015-10-22 00:46 neonat: in hard from loooking at it only I assumed that 00:33:012 (1,2,3) - was equal spacing and that caused them to look unqually spaced from each other's body
2015-10-22 00:47 neonat: but they weren't! and well since they aren't why not try and make them look more equally spaced from each other
2015-10-22 00:47 neonat: like eg. 00:33:012 (1,2) - their ends are pretty close
2015-10-22 00:49 Alheak: mhh
2015-10-22 00:52 Alheak: not sure if i follow you here
2015-10-22 00:53 Alheak: they already look kinda equally spaced but you want them to look even more equally spaced?
2015-10-22 00:54 neonat: maybe the middle slider more horizontal
2015-10-22 00:54 Alheak: okay
2015-10-22 00:54 neonat: 01:13:011 (3,4,5) - in advanced these supposed to be in a straight line?
2015-10-22 00:55 neonat: cuz i copied 01:13:339 (4,5) - over and over to overlap from 3 onwards and 4 and 5 aren't in a straight line from 3 lol
2015-10-22 00:55 Alheak: yes
2015-10-22 00:55 Alheak: welp
2015-10-22 00:56 Alheak: fixd
2015-10-22 00:59 neonat: 01:17:601 (1) - Easy the bend not so sharp pls, can barely see the bottom slider side
2015-10-22 01:00 Alheak: okay
2015-10-22 01:00 neonat: krfawy is fine with Normal having that much 1/2 triplets when Easy has none eh? Well I won't stop him from rebubbling, but maybe that's something he should note lol
2015-10-22 01:01 neonat: get him to double check himself the changed artist name too for his sake
2015-10-22 01:01 neonat: gd luck! o/ I'm done with my brief look through

I'll let Krfawy decide if he wants to straight away rebubble though. Also lol. We meet again
Krfawy
But I think it's ready so after a discussion with neonat I'm going to rebubble it once again.

we did talk about it a little, but I did say the artist name is still not confirmed.....

https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Ranking_Criteria#Metadata

Eastern artists must be written in the proper 'surname firstname' format (e.g. Japanese/Chinese/Korean). For artists which have a preferred romanisation, use this one. If you're unsure of your artist's name, then check previously ranked maps, Google, Wikipedia, or ask a BN for help.
Note the "For artists which have a preferred romanisation, use this one", "Tsubaki" is the official romanisation used for her songs, even though "夕月椿" (Yuuzuki Tsubaki) is her real name, which is how it is written in the official japanese metadata used for her songs.

So:
  1. Artist: 夕月椿
  2. Romanised artist: Tsubaki
is the correct form--

or so I'd like it to be, but according to Touhou Wiki, she apparently prefers to use "Yuuzuki Tsubaki" as her romanised name since 2013.

JBHyperion
Shouldn't the artist be Halozy? It's listed as track 08 on their 864 album with 夕月椿 / Tsubaki listed as vocal accompaniment - Halozy official website, VGMdb listing

Ranking Criteria wrote:

Tracks created by composers belonging to doujin circles should list the circle's name as the main composer. The sole exception to this is when a composer of a given circle is well-known enough by their own name. In this case, their own composer name may be used instead.
In this case, it's not even the composer (すみじゅん / sumijun) being cited as the artist, but the vocalist, so in my mind there should be no reason not to cite the source artist as the circle which Tsubaki is collaborating with, Halozy. This can be seen in other recent maps, e.g. here (Halozy, not 美里), here, here and every other Genryuu Kaiko map (again Halozy, not ほたる / Hotaru), etc.

Just throwing that out there, since I was mapping a CtB set for this anyway and it happened to catch my eye xD

Alheak
That's because Tsubaki isn't a member of Halozy, just a guest, so it doesn't make much sense in my opinion to put Halozy as the artist since only sumijun from Halozy participated in the song.
But Hotaru is (was) a member, so it was justified to put Halozy as the artist for those songs.

Of course I'd prefer the opinion of someone more knowledgable in this kind of metadata issue to confirm, but this seems good enough.
neonat
Tsubaki is ENS, that so-called rule is stupid anyway. Tsubaki > Halozy anyway. ugh.
Also when it comes to listing the artist down, it's the Vocals, not the arrangement or composer, unless stated specifically on the spine.

me when i want food but dont want to wake up my roommates

01:29:896 - there's no percussion stuff in the song yet you're using hardcore drum hitsounds. if you want to compliment the song, do it in a way that's not the same as when you had drum stuff since like the song is just different than those parts

easy
01:04:158 (4,1,2,1,2) - so you've got an sv change, which is fine, but then your spacing becomes something that could be confusing for scrubs. 4->1 and 1->2 are visually pretty similar, yet one's 1/1 and the other is 3/2. if you were to use higher spacing the slower sv section (like 1.2x) the issue would be nonexistent

normal
00:48:092 (4,5) - ending the strongest thing on a slidertail pleaseno. ctrlging those like 00:27:109 (4,5) - would be great
01:03:831 (5,1,2,1,2) - tbh kinda same thing as easy. even 1.1x would be fine
01:25:552 (1,1) - i know it's like only 1/2 away from the recommended recovery time but like usually maps get killed regardless of that. id prefer if you just use the same rhythm as easy but if you wanna risk it idc that much

advanced
00:15:552 (3) - 00:20:798 (3) - if you don't want to include 1/4 on this diff, just use 1/2 (which would be best). if you're okay with using 1/4, use 2 circles. don't use a blue tick 1/4 slider tho since it's like clicking on the weak thing + ignoring the strong thing + polarity ruined (since it plays like bleh) + ugh kill me just do it

hard
01:13:340 (4) - could you not put a slidertail on the climax of the buildup thing
if you wanna follow vocals you could do efdxzc or if don't care about vocals you could do fdfdfs or sdfdsf so many options better than slidertail on loud stuff

lunatic
00:27:109 (4) - 00:48:093 (1) - combo consistency tho

i dunno what the drama is about metadata, but if it's a big deal you can just fix it after a qat says it's wrong

this one is an old map, rules might have been different then, or not enforced as seriously as now.

it does indeed play a little better with this, though you're probably the first one noticing it, so I have no idea if this is really a big deal.

I guess QATs will have the final word about that
Azer
They can just apply an online offset, no need to DQ for that :P

Uhh.. Spacing of hard in general such as 00:23:831 (1,2,3,4) - 00:31:700 (1,1,1,1) - or 01:04:158 (7,1) - in advanced could've been wayyyyyyyy more polished. Highly disappointed personally.

Grats with the rank anyways, and good luck with your future mappings.
