Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it seems fine to me.

I'm working on osu! for your web browser. I have a little proof of concept right now that acts as a beatmap viewer - try it out here:

I've put the code up on Github and I hope to make this a playable version of osu with more work.

Thoughts?

Another one of these!

Have you checked out the ones before you? There's at least two of them.

It's okay to do a project just cause you think it'd be fun :)

Edit:

After looking at a few existing things, I'm not super impressed. I think there's room to improve here, so perhaps I can provide that.

A couple of updates:

  1. Added support for skins - drag and drop and osk file before you do the osz file to apply them
  2. I got a lot of feedback on Reddit and fixed all of the maps they told me weren't working.

You've made me go excited.

I haven't been keeping this thread up to date due to lack of interest. If there is interest, you may like to read this blog post:

Which talks about where it's at now, how it works, and where it'll go in the future.

Hey, another update.

It's now possible to link people directly to a beatmap like this (or even to a beatmap at a specific time). I plan on letting you link to replays soon (thanks peppy for improving the API around those), as well as dealing with spinners and fixing some timing issues around sliders.

I'll try this later.

Maybe try to get some settings added ? I tried playing on a useless computer with a mouse but my mouse spaced a little too much xD

This project is not really maintained. I might try porting lazer to web browsers at some point, though. And I'd accept pull requests if anyone else wants to improve it, too.
