What I think what would be a good idea is that you can organize your beats how you want so there easier to get to. Like folders to put them in or just switching them around in your list. Heck, even color coding them would work.

still would be nice for the songs in favorite A and B to be color coded on the "show all" list in the game. just throwing out ideas.
I believe that color coding has been denied before, but regardless, having a few songs with different colors wouldn't be very visible/useful when you have hundreds/thousands of maps.
