I started to play Taiko no Tatsujin and the multiplayer "theme" is nice, and I believe it would be great on osu online play.

Actually, the online gameplay for all the 3 modes available in osu! is the same, gameplay in the entire screen and the leaderboard in the left side.
My idea
Every player should have your own customized taiko above the taiko "stripe" (where the notes are), with their current score, combo and position.
This thing of "customized taiko" will work with another feature previously commented on osu! board, the Taiko customization.
