Ok, I finished the mod for your mapset, and here it is!

General
- you should uncheck widescreen support, no point to check it when there is no storyboard or video

Easy
- 00:00:042 (1,2,1) - you should make these sliders all the same
- 00:17:375 (3,4,5) - fix the spacing between these 3 notes
- 00:28:375 (3) - I think this is too sudden, I would get rid of this note altogether and then fix the spacing between 00:28:042 (2,3,4)
- 02:21:375 (2) - make this slider something more simple, a slider like this doesn't go with the music too well
- increase OD (idk, I think it should be increased but its fine if you leave it

Normal
- 00:35:708 (8,9) - take the whistle off of these to make the hitsounds consistent with the rest of this part
- 00:41:042 (8,9) - same here
- 02:21:375 (2) - same thing I said in the last slider for the easy diff

Hard
- 01:06:708 (1,2,3,4) - just want to say this part is awesome :D

  1. First I think you need to fix your Distance Snap. Easy and Normal diffs needs DS on at all times. For you, you picked 0.5 DS but your distances are not on 0.5. Better fix it :D

  2. 00:35:375 (2) Stack this slider end in this slider 00:38:708 (4) 's head.
  3. 02:20:042 (1,1,1) Remove the NC in these circles. there's no need lol

That's all I didn't find anything bad in the harder diffs.

[General Thoughts]
Ne map is nearly not perfect, and should not be rankable (or if it is, than the new nominators are either doing a terrible job, or 2015 is the years of beginner maps & mappers)
I have to mention, you do a LOT of unnecessary overlaps, especially in Normal!
Blankets should be a thing on your map, but there's so much, that I just have to mention here, that there's a lot of bad/missing blankets.
I seriously don't want my mod just about bad blankets and bad overlaps, so I won't mention them. But you know there are.
Randomly increasing DS in Easy and Normal. They are bad.
Silencing notes are unrankable if they affect the gameplay.
Also, please don't add horrible hitsounds. They are

[Easy]
Slider speed changes should be forbidden, unless something (like kiai) happens during the song/map
Good example: 01:12:042 - here, it's ok, 'cause it's kiai time, the song could be faster, so the map could be a tiny bit faster and harder as well, but just a tiny bit, 'cause this is still any Easy map
Bad example: 00:10:042 - Here, the slider speed is back tp 1.0, wich should be by default. Such change, especially just randomly somewhere in the map should be forbidden, as the player (who's a beginner) will not expect it, and might fail. I know this isn't such a big change, but still, it should be forbidden.

With these, a LOT of jumps occur in this map, and just by saying "Oh the AI mod didn't detect any, it should be fine", you cannot hide them.
Here are some examples:
00:04:708 - You can clearly see, that 2 and 3 sort of collide in 1/1, but 3 and 1 does not!
Also an example about what the AI mod doesn't seem to detect at all
00:50:375 - Look at the space between 3 and 4
01:01:708 - And now look at the space between 1 and 2

1/2 jumps should not be a thing in an Easy diff

I purposely have the slider speed for the first 10 seconds set at a lower value, because this part doesn't have the right hand piano in yet and thus is less intense than the rest of the song. However, I have compromised by setting the SV to 0.75 for all diffs except [Insane] throughout the beginning part until 10 seconds in.

With these, a LOT of jumps occur in this map, and just by saying "Oh the AI mod didn't detect any, it should be fine", you cannot hide them. All notes are snapped to a certain DS, there shouldn't be any jumps with the exception of 'visual jumps' during SV change transitions.
Here are some examples:

I feel that at some points, you're just trying to enforce unnecessary changes for your taste. However I did fix some of the points you mentioned (blanket, overlap...). I'm also considering changing the second half of the song after kiai time to 1.0x SV for consistency. I'll probably do that once I find time.

Anyways, thanks for the mod, gave me lots to think about.

  1. 00:08:042 (1) - The normal hit sound at the end of this slider reaaaly doesn't fit with the calm and relaxing song like this, you should've kept that soft hitsound for that.
  2. 00:24:042 (1) - Maybe blanket it like this?
  3. 00:28:708 (3) - Maybe add a whistle to the start or a Finish to the middle of the slider?
  4. 00:48:708 (2,3) - Maybe a whistle could go on (2)'s slider end or on (3)?
  5. 01:01:375 to 01:11:375 - Maybe add whistles to every second white tick up until 01:11:375. Not only does it sound good it signals the buildup towards the Kiai too :D
  6. 01:18:042 (2,4) - Replace the claps for whistles, sounds very out of place imo.

  1. 00:21:042 (2) - Try to avoid stacking in Easy/Normals.
  2. 00:28:042 (2,3,4,5,6) - A suggestion.
  3. Personal notice: use a DS of 1.1x, try and see for yourself. Other wise nothing major with this diff.

  2. 01:44:042 (3) - Maybe blanket this a b i i i i t better like this.
  3. 01:52:542 (4,5,6) - The gaps between these notes are quite big for Hard jump, maybe have some equal distance while still keeping your jump safe but fun like this.
  4. 02:03:375 (1,2) - I don't know what the purpose of these very short sliders are for that a simple star pattern normal jump can't fix. :lol:
  5. 02:10:042 (1) - Move this to x:356|y:336.
  6. 02:11:375 (1,2,3) - Example here.

Verdict


Now then, there is some polishing to be done in your maps, in terms of hit sound placement where it's hit or miss as well as your patterns placement and spacing. It is a piece of music I like and I will keep an eye on it if any more modding would be possible after changes. Good luck~! :)

Verdict


Now then, there is some polishing to be done in your maps, in terms of hit sound placement where it's hit or miss as well as your patterns placement and spacing. It is a piece of music I like and I will keep an eye on it if any more modding would be possible after changes. Good luck~! :)

All four sliders here have an equal distance spacing of x1.20, so I do believe they are all the same transitions.

  2. 00:08:055 (1) - It really doesn't make sense to have a spinner here when you could map to the simple 1/2 beat of the piano, ending it here 00:09:388 for emphasis on 00:10:055 (1) - (may apply to other difficulties)
  3. 00:32:555 (4) - I don't feel that this shape is called for by the music. This is a relatively calm part, so having a subtle slider shape to go with that makes much more sense
  4. 00:50:555 (11) - I recommend changing this for 2 circles, so you can get a hittable downbeat and finish on 00:50:721. It really doesn't make sense when you have a finish on a slider end, as the slider start or circle gives more emphasis and proper audio feedback.
  5. 02:02:555 (11) - ^
  6. 02:21:388 (4) - Same as 00:32:555 (4) -

Please change them it looks like you created the map and forgot about them I'm not quite sure how to do this... Google didn't solve my question :/

the change the yellow to orange take out the red and the blue and use a darker shade of green and also add light brown

  1. 00:28:721 (7,8,9,10) - I doubt players at this level are experienced enough for 1/6 quads. I recommend just using a 1/6 with reverse. Hmm, I agree, a random 1/6 quad could be quite confusing. Fixed.
  2. 00:32:555 (4) - Same as on Insane Fixed
  3. 00:50:555 (7) - Same as on Insane Fixed as well.
Normal
  1. 00:26:721 (1) - This slider shape may be a bit difficult for newer players to react to. I recommend changing this. Fixed to a curve.
  2. 00:50:055 (4) - This falls under slider manipulation as the speed of the slider ball is significantly reduced by an artificial method. This is unrankable, be sure to fix it. Is this actually unrankable? Anyhow, changed to a 1/4 reverse slider + a circle.
  3. 01:06:721 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This is really bad. Having so many circles on a Normal in quick succession just makes it feel mashy. Add some sliders in here. Added a couple sliders, hopefully that makes it better.
Easy
  1. Nothing.

Hmm I realized I have to uncheck "ignore all beatmap skins" to see colours. I'll re try custom combo colours tomorrow.

• Check AIMod and fix issues with Distance Snap.
• 00:05:388 (1,2) - The design of these sliders looks weird. What about a design similar to this?
• 00:08:055 (3,1) - I see you wanted to make a blanket here, but it's slightly off. Redesign the (3) to make a perfect blanket.
• 00:42:055 (1) - Remove the new combo and add new at 00:42:721 (2) - .
• 01:12:055 (1,2,3) - The 01:13:055 (2) - kinda breaks the flow. My suggestion is to put the (2) little bit higher + do the same at 01:12:055 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - .
• 01:43:388 (1) - Instead of this slider, use pattern likethis. It fits more into a song.
• 01:48:721 (1) - ^
• 01:54:055 (1,2) - I would use normal 1/2 slider instead of this, because rookie players may not handle it.
• 02:04:721 (3) - Try pattern like this.
• 02:06:721 (6) - End this slider at 02:07:388 - and put a note at the downbeat with a new combo.
• 02:10:721 (4,5) - Blanket is really off.

• Set AR to 8-8,5.
• Except some sliders (like design of these sliders) + sliders like these: 02:03:388 (1) - seems fine to me.

Imo, this mapset should need more mods and more checking.

EASY


00:02:721 - (3) This slider shape, while the curve is nice it's still anti-flow in a position that doesn't need it, I'd recommend standardizing it's shape to match sliders 1 and 2.

00:06:721 - (2) This sliders positioning forces a slight pull-back over the pattern, I'd suggest moving the slider Tail to curve into slider 3 a little bit.

00:12:721 - (3,4) These are a little bit off of where the movements of the map go, shift these a little bit down and to the left.

00:14:055 - (5) Pull the Slider head a bit right to shallow out the curvature here.

00:15:388 - (1) ^^^^^^

00:16:721 - (2) I'm not going to try to explain this

00:20:055 - (5) This slider could be curved, would be prettier visually and a little bit nicer flow wise.

00:22:721 - (2) This slider should be lowered a bit to improve map flow.

00:26:721 - (1) This slider is strange, shift it a little bit down and to the right and invert the direction of the tail.

00:35:388 - (4) This slider feels off-positioned, I'd suggest tilting it to be more steep vertically. (ofc, this means moving it slightly to adjust for DS)

00:38:721 - (4) Should be curved to form a circle centering the 5 circle.

00:42:055 - 00:47:388 - This entire segment is just weird and doesn't fit with the rest of the map, Consider revising.

01:04:055 - (5,6) Hmm, shift these slightly right, it'll probably fix the slight offset they have from the flow of the map.

01:12:055 - 01:16:721 - For this section you should make the circles bridging rather than sticking out, move the sliders so that they continue on the other side of the circle instead of next to it and this'll feel much better.

01:17:388 - 01:21:055 - Avoid stacking these.

01:28:055 - (1,2,3,4) I'd suggest making these pairs just a single slider, the middle tick in these sets are unnecessary.

01:43:388 - (1) This slider's head is angled down slightly. Avoid this for improved flow.

01:56:055 - (4) Awkward note here, Consider revising.

02:10:721 - (4) This directional transition is weird, Maybe make the slider go straight down instead of pulling back.

02:18:055 - (1) This is a little bit out of flow, maybe mirror it to make the slider head face upwards?



I'm going to leave it here as I can assume the problems in the other diffs are similar, they should be a bit better off than this diff is. Just give motion a thought when you're mapping as it's the biggest issue here. GL with the rest of the set.

I find a lot of the jumps in this map highly overmapped, excess spacing, hard to read, doesn't suit the music etc. (Which is evident in the starcount) I'll point out some examples.
  1. 00:10:388 (3,4) - This jumps is way too large, and nothing happens in the music to show that.
  2. 00:15:388 (1,2,3,4,5) - ^
  3. 00:50:277 (9,10) - Combine these two into a slider for more playability imo
  4. 01:15:221 (3,4) - Another jump that is too large
  5. 01:15:888 (6,7) - This section in the music does call for a jump, but this one is still too big I think.
  6. 01:22:721 (1,2,3,4,5) - Again, jumps too large, and sudden massive increase in spacing compared to previous part which doesn't suit music.
  7. 01:25:388 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - ^
  8. 01:30:721 (1,2,3,4,5) - ^
  9. 01:38:388 (1,2) - ^

I get that you want to make cool patterns (and they do look cool) but the spacing between these jumps are just way too high for the slow, peaceful nature of the song, and really don't suit, this overmapping is highly excess imo. You could still make the same cool patterns (mainly the stars) with lower spacing, and at the same time have it suit the pace and sound of the song.

Hi there. You asked for a nm request from my queue 6 months ago t/336458/start=45. Here I am with a very late mod.

Note that whatever I say is my own opinion so you do not have to follow everything I say.

Insane
1) 00:09:721 I am curious as to why you left this space empty? This is because there is a strong note here so I would place a note here.

2) 00:15:388 (1,2,3,4) - The jumps are spaced differently. I would use distance snap just to make the jumps more refined. When playing though I had no problem with the jumps. What I have suggested is purely cosmetic.

3) 00:43:221 Blanket looks imperfect to me. Please fix it.

4) 00:50:388 (10,11,12) - I would refine it and make it a proper triangle pattern. Use distance snap for these notes.

5) 01:36:055 (3,5) - Not aligned properly imo. For symmetry move slider 2 up to (127,184).

6) 01:39:721 (6,7,8,9) - The pattern does not look perfect to me. Use ctrl+shift+d as a guide for creating these shapes.

Other than that, rhythm is solid so I cannot fault that, albeit at times you have very different rhythm patterns.

Hard
1) 00:24:055 Considering the previous slider, this note is not straight compared to the previous slider. I would shift this to (119,155) to make it straight.

2) 00:37:388 (5) I was thinking of shortening the slider to 00:37:721and then add a note at 00:37:888. When I first played this difficulty I released it early, but I am sure that when I play it again I will not make that mistake. The current one is fine so if you do not want to change it that is fine.

3) 01:06:721 (1,2) - Imperfect blanket. Applies to 01:08:055 (3,4) - as well. You can fix one set and then reflect it to the other side.

4) 01:28:055 (1,2) - These sliders are not parallel by 1 px imo. This is really small so you do not have to consider it.

Everything else is fine, but some of the above points may apply to other parts if you do want to refine your map.

Normal
1) In terms of distance snap AI mod points out that:
- 01:55:055 (4,5) - 5 is further apart than 4. I assume if you distance snap it though you lose the blanket.
- Applies to 01:56:222 but again you will lose the blanket.

I recommend not applying the above change though. I just wanted to point it out to you.

Easy
1) 01:06:721 (1,2,3) - Imperfect blankets.

2) 01:34:055 (1,2,3,4) - It looks a bit weird to me but I assume the note placement was intentional (you wanted an irregular zig zag pattern)

Overall. This was an interesting map and a very relaxing one as well. There are some refinements to be made. If you decide to revive this map, I would say go for it.
