Problem Details:

On my first attempt of insane for this song (pictured below), I got a rank around #21000. Now, I beat that rank and it claims that the ranks only go down to about #18000. If that's true, why did it say I was around #21000?

Apologies if this has been posted before, I don't know what keywords to search for with this kind of issue.

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

Thanks for finding that.

I've got a more convincing set of screenshots:
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3137538 First attempt at ナノ - Nevereverland, note that I got rank 25163
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3137567 Second attempt, showing rank 22781 out of 24795

Not sure if I should post them in the other thread, maybe it will be considered necroing

the numbers are cached for performance. it's not perfect during the initial hours/days of a beatmap being ranked.

Yup.

The problem may be a bit deeper than it looks, including inaccurate data ingame as well.

According to #X of X, there are only 12 players that scored worse than my 8 million point score:

But looking at mod scoreboards, that's pretty obviously not true:

Something doesn't add up, either in the way the client caches that number or with the play data in general.

Anyhow, even if they're cached, it still doens't add up. That mapset (nano - Nevereverland) is anything but new, and unless there have been ~2500 removed/hidden scores since Score_Under's last play, this doesn't add up.

Anyhow, I'll mark this as a duplicate given that it's been covered in that Confirmed thread.
