I dont think this has been suggested yet. Idk about that name either. Random idea.
tl;dr
Modified Auto that randomly throws in a few non-300's to have around ~95% acc in the editor to test HP drain (or OD and difficulty spikes).
____________
So, we all know that the previous, discontinued Skin-Preview had random 100's and 50's in it, right? Can we have that for the editor testplay too?
The reason I thought about this is because I often find myself adjusting the HP (or OD) value alot, as I cant really simulate an "average player" in the terms of when that player would miss or when he'd be exhausted and hit more 100's in a long Stream (for example).*
The way I have to do it right now is to randomly turn the auto mode off and simulate some random misses, but that still doesnt make too much of an impact, as the random misses and perfect 300's after that dont really work together. The HP bar would just go down a little and then completely fill up again.
What it could do:
- Hit random 100's, 50's and some misses that add up to 95% acc at the end of the song
- Spread the ^'s throughout the entire map
- In case the osu client has a way to detect difficulty spikes, give the spikes some more misses or less accuracy.
OR: Give the Auto Mod a random hiterror offset and work with that. Might be useful to check the OD as well (OD too low -> high acc | OD too high -> low acc)
Aka, basically simulate someone who could pass the map, but cant FC it yet. Maybe also add a feature to test HR pls ;w;
* Dont try to tell me to testplay to "fix" that. Imagine someone on a lower rank that wants to testplay his Hard, which he isnt even able to pass. Wont work.
