Really, there's no need for you to memorize every single symbol there is. The really only basic and main thing you need to know in notation in just the letter, sol-fa syllable and the pitch. Knowing the music theory is nice; it lets you obtain a broader view on music but it's not harshly necessary when learning to play an instrument.
All the notation teaches you to do is what key to press, how fast, and how loud. Bringing life to the piece is all up to the player.
It will all be easy-sailing for you if you have a good teacher, it also depends on how passionate you are.

It's a great instrument so don't waste it
