Level-Up'ing

Since I've started playing Osu! this past year, I've noticed times where I surprise myself and realize I'm now able to do thing I couldn't do before like some jumps that were close to impossible for me or being able to get a good POV of the map (knowing when and which circle/slider popped up).

I really like the feeling when you do realize your practice has payed off, does anyone have similar moments? I find them very satisfying! :)

It does indeed feel very rewarding when you see yourself full combo a map that you used to consider really hard as hell before. :p

I recently had that 'level up' feeling where i'm now getting higher accuracy on songs and blowing some 2 month old records out the water, except i'm somehow making a couple more misses than usual, preventing me from getting a nice combo >.>

Now I'm like, "OMG AN S ON A FIVE STAR SONG~!"
I'm really happy when I see my progress like that :3 8-)

i remember when i learned to read announcement threads so i knew if i was posting in the right subforum. that was the biggest level up for me!

No. I get to watch myself slowly stagnate and get scores that end up below scores i set over a year ago.

when i was still a newb i played https://osu.ppy.sh/b/166477&m=0 hundreds of times, eventually passed it during a week where i had no internet and had nothing else to do. havent felt victory like that since.

Satisfaction hinders progress. I like to think of how much I suck at the difficulty after the one I'm suppose to be good at to feel worthless- that way maybe I can push myself to get off osu! and level up in real life by studying or something.

I joined OSU a whiiiiiile back and didn't really play that much, to be honest. I was pretty confused at first, and only played easy maps. But the past few weeks I've been totally addicted to OSU. Seeing my progress and beating my personal records is a real pay off. It's a great feeling. I'm glad I didn't just install OSU and never play (like a lot of games I install eheh..) But yeah. Some would say my progress isn't jack sh*t, but for me it's a pretty big accomplishment.

I feel very familiar with the original post, and actually a lot like Dannikins (above poster).

I joined/discovered Osu! a couple years back, but haven't really played it a lot at all. However, I have been busy re-playing every dang Beatmap I have the past couple days... or the ones I can handle anyway.
To my huge surprise and somewhat pleasure, I've found that I can now, after about a month without internet (which equals boredom, which made me play a lot of Osu! just to do something), handle Hard maps, which I had a lot of trouble with before.
I've even managed almost getting through a couple Insane beatmaps, but failed at the finish line... (Which for the record sucks) :(
