Unranked maps?

I started making my first beatmap and got a good amount of a song but idk if i want to add more to it or make it end where i have it. What i was wondering is if you can upload beatmaps without the intention of making them ranked and going through the approval process?

Of course, you can submit maps whenever you feel like and people can download them, there's no need to make them ranked in order to make them available for people to download and play them.

I'm gonna lock this due to prevent useless posts since there's nothing else to add anyway.
