I think an example can explain it better than I can.
For example, if I had the song select sorted by creator and the song select looked like this:
If I press, say ctrl + right, it'll skip all the alacats and select the first Alarido. Press it again and it skips to the first Aleks719.
I think this makes navigating song select a lot easier, especially if you have a lot of the same thing (artist: Hatsune Miku). This skipping should follow how the list is being sorted, so next artist for artist sort, next title for title sort, etc.
