This is in regards to the Rule:

Tracks created by composers belonging to doujin circles should list the circle's name as the main composer. The sole exception to this is when a composer of a given circle is well-known enough by their own name. In this case, their own composer name may be used instead.
What is wrong with the use of the composer of the track, especially if it follows the official tracklist and metadata of where it comes from? More recognition should be given to the composer.
Especially when Doujin Circles many at times, will collaborate with each other and compose songs for other Circles.

I think this should be a Guideline, which is as such:

You may use the doujin circle's name as the main composer, if the composer is not well-known enough, or if the circle is well-known.
I honestly believe this Rule is more detrimental than good

Using a composer is kind of insensible in my opinion. He is not the one who performs the song and additionally, let's take in a consideration the 東方 Project circles. Most of those songs are based on original songs, thus the composer would be a ZUN in most cases (because he is obviously more famous than all those circles), while someone else sung and played the music.

maybe every touhou doujin album names ZUN as composer indeed, so this would make it a bit silly.
there shouldn't be a rule about this because multiple things would work (editor just needs to be able to handle more metadata like album/composer/arranger/circle instead of "artist") artist name is really vague in the doujin scene.
I'd just stick with what's more known at the moment, or whether you want to promote the arranger or the circle more.

Not much discussion has occurred here. Flaming. Give me a poke if you wish to continue this!
