Kimi no Akari, the final unlockable song in Taiko no Tatsujin 13, is not a god-forsaken impossible song as is the norm for arcade unlockables. It's an easygoing beatmap, and the song is a love tribute to Taiko 13, described officially by Namco as 'Taiko 13's ending theme'. Oni is 5 Stars and has 382 beats.

This map is TaikOsu (the map works on Osu and is Taiko authentic when played using Taiko mod! ). No modding on hitsounds and beat placement please :)

Oh, really? Taiko 13 should have a credits video too... lol.

Also, why do I feel like the Don and Katsu on the BG seems like lol-out-of-place XD

Also, I'm tempted to make a Taiko diff. for this one, but not too hard; maybe something like 7 stars just to keep up with this having an actual 'Oni' map while retaining its sweet value.

@Zekira: Otherwise there'd be nothing to denote the Taiko-ness of this map :P I tried to make them as inconspicuous as I can though.

@arken: The Taiko wav files...you mean that zip file you gave me? Kay, I'll do that.

And how do I reduce mp3 size without reducing quality?

Well... There's no way to reduce size without reducing quality ;_;
BTW, you can reduce bitrates until 192+kbps anyway...
I recommend 192 or whatever 192+ :3

There's no way it's possible: you can only hope to reduce size without reducing TOO MUCH quality. Maybe what you can do is import MP3 into Audacity, specify the quality rate in the Preferences menu, then export it into MP3 again?

Also, I thought up of a minor storyboard for this song which involves wallpapers from all the Taiko games that have been released, but I think it'll become a bit silly... but basically just a storyboard that shows the chronological evolution of TnT, though that might reduce the song's epicness... :/

Yeah, if the wallpapers are still there :P Namco doesn't keep them around for long, particularly the ones from the PS2 games.

You added custom hitsounds, but you're not using them in the maps... Fix this in the Timing Setup Panel! Also, why does the Kiai Time still keep going even after the map ends? Shouldn't it end after like the last note?

Anyway, you used the wrong Sample Set setting. It's supposed to be Normal (along with Custom Override 1).

Major issues in the map: it is highly recommended to fix them.
Minor issue in the map: you don't have to follow them exactly, but I recommend you to.
Suggestions: those are personal opinions, feel free to follow them or not.
Comments.
If there's one red line in the whole mod post, or three blue lines, I won't star the map.

Why not make the combo colours the colours of taiko drums ?

They seem to work better on Oni, where there are already noticeable jumps in between combos

What a sound Beatmapset! They have a nice mapping pace to it, good work!
I can only give you some suggestions here and there.

Muzukashii: Feels sluggish.

- Increase Circle Size by 1
- Increase OD and Approach Rate by 1

Oni: Bit slow as well..

- Increase the HP Drain
- Increase Circle Size by 1

- 01:08:644 - Why not add a note here and push back the slider to start and end on the White ticks.
Looks and plays better imo.
- 01:16:318 - Move this slider up by 1 grid.
- 02:08:179 - Obligatory suggestion to replace this circle with a spinner that slowly softens in volume.

Whoops. Sorry for the late reply T.T I haven't been mapping for weeks.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, but I can't add or take away any notes due to it being TaikOsu. I'll do the rest though. :)

  1. Even autoplay can hardly keep up the HP bar on a high level, especially in the first part of the map, since there are quite some breaks. Consider adding more new combos in the beginning or lowering the HP drain again.
  2. 01:41:667 (1,1,1,1) - Technically correct, yes, but I got the feeling this scale of spacing (2.8~ spacing on 1/2 notes!) doesn't fit to the rest of this difficulty, as this is the only part with jumps.
Pretty fine, though I think the 1.40 velocity on all difficulties is making them all appear a bit too similar in osu mode (the difficulty spread suffers from this: They are all somewhat close to a middle level difficulty).

When a map has 7 or more storyboard elements, the orange bar is automatically removed.

Yeah this is a big problem for TaikOsu maps. I haven't looked at the map yet, but I think aqua used different distance spacing for each difficulty?

Yeah, different distance spacing. I did that in Kaze no Fantasy after all. And claps aren't necessary in TaikOsu (yeah I know, authentic TaikOsu is damn restrictive)

Zekira if you could help me look at the map that would be a big help. You understand TaikOsu the most here.

I'll lower the HP Drain again. Again.
