DJ Max Technika is a touch-screen rhythm game that functions sort of like the mutant, linear twin of Elite Beat Agents / Ouendan. As the 'timing line' wipes over notes, touch them. Repeat until you are awesome.

This game aims to be a passable PC clone of this popular, addictive, money-sucking game.

Meh, this is enough for me

Also, Technika's game play seems more limited than osu! (and EBA works better on PC than Technika) in general so I stay with osu!

I talking about that osu! is less limited gameplaywise

Not bad for a first release, but I guess this will take a while before it compares to an actual Technika machine. (T_T, the Technika machine is going to eat more of my money.)

Can you actually play this without a touch screen?

I wanna get used to Technika at home before I actually tackle the arcade ones. I've only played Technika twice and horribly failed the last stage of both (I played that 'Normal' diff named 'Expert' since it was the second diff, lol)

You can play Electronika without a touchscreen, yes. However, higher difficulties of Technika songs would definitely require a touchscreen since there are times where there are more than one note being hit at once. You wouldn't be able to emulate that on anything but a touchscreen. It would be good to practice with though and get used to.

Oh god, I forgot about that X_X

He's not wrong. Technika follows a constant, linear path, whereas osu! does not necessarily need to.

As interesting as this simulator is, I do not have the touch screen required to play tougher songs; I'll stick to Technika machines stealing more of my money.

Is there actually a Technika machine near you, Mogsy?
And, yeah, this would only be good on a touchscreen. I know it's a bit ironic as I play osu! with a mouse, but you just can't do this with a mouth.

DO WANT!. I have been waiting for an emulator or some sort. thank you very much! and one song that I want really bad is HEXAD

also I think the best way for me to play those difficult songs is to see the patterns as crazy jumps. like in strangeprogram on tag4 difficulty

No, last played it in NYC. Closest machine to me.

I'd like to play an emulator, but I do not have access to a touch screen. Oh well.
Pokebis
wtf how did I type "mouth" instead of mouse?

Offtopic: -SiN-, do you go on Doujinstyle, perhaps?

Anywho, I love this little clone. I don't have a Technika machine near me despite owning three cards and a soon a card for Technika 2 (from the soundtrack), so I find this fun. Although, I'd like PVs in it, as well...

this might sound like cheating but what the heck

if you're tired of gaining points from playing you can edit some files to get X amount of points you want

1 : go to the data folder and find your name that you used in the game
2 : open with notepad
3 : the above numbers are the number of points you have. change it to whatever you want

and there you go. instant points so you can play the tech songs without gaining them
