[Archived] Osu! Lagging and hard to Use.

Problem Details:
I just updated to the latest version of osu, i'm running Windows 8.1 and it's very laggy and hard to deal with I can't even edit my options. is anyone else having this issue?

Well, first of all make sure you're on the Stable release stream/build and make sure you're using DirectX as the renderer.
If you can't change your settings in the option menu hold SHIFT and double-click osu!.exe (while holding shift),
this will bring up a recovery dialog in which you can change those settings.

If you were already on those settings or changing to those settings doens't make a difference I assume it's something else on your end.
