[Popped] yanaginagi - landscape

I had popped this bubble for an obvious 1/6 drum roll, but there is a problem with the music itself.

places like this (the time stamps are from insane)
00:17:371 (3,4) -
00:18:116 (7,8) -
and more and more and more

sound like 1/6 to me and the people I have asked for their opinions so far. (also the mapper and the guest mappers were aware of this)

So far, I've asked Ashpyxia and IamKwan and they both said it's fine to leave them as 1/4

but I just asked TicClick, and he said no :3

What do you guys think?

I personally think they should remain as they are since

is retarded to play obviously...

When something sounds ambiguous like this, just tell the mapper to add something like a 1/2 slider instead, to avoid confusion and tons of posts just for something ambiguous.

we could just treat it as an undermap for the 1/6 part and the overmap for the 1/4 part :3

is undermapping unrankable? no
is overmapping unrankable? uhh in some cases no.

so the real question is; is this overmap rankable

They're not ambiguous, clearly 1/6, slider 1/6 instead would be a good solution.

the triples in this map are really fun to play, and replacing them all with a 1/2 beat would kill the map.

also replacing all these triples with 1/6 slider is still horrible to play.

would you like to play a map full of this


the answer is probably no.

and 1/6 is worse and I don't think anyone would enjoy playing this map if changed that way.

I've checked them.

It's definitively 1/6 but i don't really think there will be an issue with using 1/4 instead, because don't forget that triples can be used for emphasis. And they work well here.
Second thing, the drum on 1/6 is close to inaudible, imo, they can be skipped, they are not important.
And last thing, as i said above, the mapper can use a 1/2 slider or 1/2 circles instead.

I don't really think there should be a huge discussion about them, look at Hanairo Biyori (Awaken's diff) and triples at the end which are snapped wrongly, but they were considered as "following the song"
Imo, it's just case by case, these triples you mentionned 00:17:371 (3,4,5) - and 00:18:116 (7,8,1) - should not really be unrankable.
