Well, it doesn't look so hard to implement for coders and developers, so I think it would be a nice to add 7+1K and seperate 8K that.
Don't forget that there is also 5+1K & 6K too.

Hope there isn't any duplicates of this thread though.

I always play symmetrically and see N+1k maps as training wheels. I treat 7+1k maps as 8k, there is no difference to me other than less keys to hit on one side or play to the tune of the instrument. I don't see how that is a problem unless you play on multiplayer, whereas in single you can just go through the map once to see if it's N+1k or not. I'm neutral on this idea.

You can set in your settings to make it act like 7k+1

But i understand what you mean.
8K songs wouldn't discriminate the "+1" to be something you would press like a scratch in iidx
7k+1 would be songs where the "+1" is similar to a scratch in iidx

Honestly it'll just be another option in the editor to change the aesthetics of the beatmap in the song selection screen.
