Di ba Tagalog ay isang parte lang ng Filipino?
So di ba mas appropriate ang Filipino kesa Tagalog ang pangalan ng section na to?

i consider ''filipino' to be the more general term for the language family (we have a lot of regional languages, keep in mind), and tagalog is the specific language that we mostly use as the 'lingua franca' within the country

Pretty accurate...since this is an international forum..Filipino would fit better though cause it isthe national language of The Philippines, also if Tagalog is changed to Filipino wont threads in the other languages and dialects of the Philippines be eligible in this forum...not that it isn't.
