I find myself playing a lot of maps I can't always seem to pass but at the same time don't wanna start the music all over again so I use no fail. However when I actually do pass a song or I happen to play a song and no fail is still on I get the reduced points.
I think it would be possible to have no fail only give you half points once you failed the map itself but not end it. The second you fail the points you gained already get cut in half, and all the points from there are halved.
I think this is something that would be interesting thou i guess not all would agree. And If there is more math to it then that mb.
