I have a skype too and I'm all for it. Everyone is stuck on msn/wlm though.

You don't need to use windows live messenger for msn. You can also use other clients like pidgin and still be able to chat with everyone trough the msn protocol.nardi11011 wrote:

I believe he meant the network as a whole, not just the client...
Moreoever, more and more people are using the WLM Plus! add-on, which Pidgin and the other clients would not support.

I use pidgin and it's less bad than MSN but it is still inferior to Skype
of course if Skype could interface with the MSN protocol without suffering at all then I'd be like "I don't care use your shitty client my good client still works with it" but that's not the case

That said, I do have it, but then again: Vent > Skype.
If you want a vent server which has better quality than skype then prepare to pay some cash for it, while skype is free and has some features that ventrilo doesn't. The only bad thing about skype is you can't have a dedicated server, and it can sometimes run slower than vent.
The only time i think vent is better is if you are in a Guild/Clan of some sort and you have lots of people in it.
