How to include Guest diffs?

I planned to make a beatmap together with a friend and to get it done faster he also mapped on his Computer during me mapping on mine. But how can merge them to one map? If you copy & paste one diff will be overwritten and so there'll be just one remaining!

Add his objects manually if it's a collab.

Place them accordingly by time under [Hit Objects] in the .osu

If he has added extra uninherited timing points, add them in as well in [Timing Points]

Then save it

Okay but how is it just possible to open his file on my computer? If I paste his song folder and then open osu, it will be overwritten..

He should open the .osu in notepad, and copy the contents of it, and send it to you
